Kendall Jenner is getting trashed – well, by proxy, as a poolside spaghetti photo of the supermodel sees social media targeting 41-year-old sister Kourtney Kardashian. The photo posted on Thursday night by Kourtney’s 2019-founded Poosh lifestyle brand landed on the company Instagram as part of a healthy-eating post. The focus was on boosting metabolism with nutritionist advice provided, but the image of 24-year-old Kendall posing with some seriously slurpy spaghetti has been garnering negative comments. The snap comes from a September 2019 photoshoot that saw Kourtney join Kendall in the foodie moment.
The photo, seen below, came with an eye-catching and Instagrammable finish. It showed the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star in a patterned, green-and-white shirt and shot against pool railings. The Adidas spokesperson was holding up a plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce, complete with a forkful of the pasta dish, also looking up at it with an “o” face mouth. A caption from Poosh read: “Want to boost your metabolism? Nutritionist @shaunafaulisi is sharing 5 natural ways to take charge of your body at the link in our bio.

Comments have been piling up. While Kendall was flatter by many fans – even told that she can make “anything look good,” some voiced disapproval, also extending the negativity beyond the lifestyle brand Kourtney founded in April of last year. “Tell Kylie and Kendall to pay their workers in Bangladesh pls,” one user wrote. Meanwhile, another said: “Nobody cares and nobody buying.” An accusation regularly faced by the KarJenner clan also came out: “If ya’ll can boost your metabolism so well, why do you make so many visits to the lipo surgeon?”
The original duo photo had already launched negativity – 2019 comments had seen a fan write: “You know they can’t eat more than 5 bites of that, right?” with Kourtney making headlines for clapping back as she jokingly replied: “Six.” A fan responding to this post raised an issue of diversity – while they liked the “overall wellness vibe of @poosh,” they found the “SM posts mainly show non WOC 20-something “It Girls.” The user then asked Poosh CEO Kourtney to be aware of a “wider audience” and offer “diversity across the board.” More below.
Alongside Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand and Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics line, Poosh has been backing Black Lives Matter, with a post yesterday focusing on murdered Illinois man Elijah McClain. The brand has also been featuring people of color on its feed – three days ago, a selfie photo talking tie-dye looks showed a black woman seated in a bedroom. Poosh does, however, feature the “it” girls mentioned by the fan. Promos for the company have included the likes of Bella and Gigi Hadid, supermodel Emily Ratajkowski, and 18-year-old model and daughter to Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber.
