Jessica Simpson has a lot to be proud of, and she's been celebrating. The 39-year-old actress, singer, and "Open Book" author updated her Instagram on Tuesday night with a reminder of both her 100-pound weight loss and her immense success as an author – the latter not only sees Jessica making the no.1 New York Times Best-Seller list, it's also been making headlines for a sharp spike in sales amid the COVID-19 pandemic. By mid-May, the "Dukes of Hazzard" star's memoir had shifted close to half a million copies in 14 weeks.

It comes after the early April headlines Jessica made as millions leading new lives from home saw sales of "Open Book" skyrocket – likewise, sales of 37-year-old singer Carrie Underwood's "Find Your Path" book. The snap showed the mom of three throwing out the peace sign and her whittled-down frame in a cute, low-cut, and short-sleeved tie-dye dress with splashes of pink and yellow. Jessica was seated near tall piles of her book, also showing off a stunning smile and shorter waved hair. "At it again...from my cozy place," she captioned the photo. Jessica's post largely saw her 5.4 million followers congratulate her on her success – and the hair. As to the memoir documenting everything from Jessica's childhood sex abuse and resulting pills and alcohol addiction to her relationships, it's been making history. While February saw it rank eighth on NPD BookScan, March came with "Open Book" having the most sales for a book by a female celebrity in BookScan's entire history – "That's insane to me!" Didn't Think She's Make The Top 20 On NYT Best-Seller

Simpson, who has called writing her book a "healing" process, continued: "When it comest to it being the No. 1 New York Times Bestseller for two weeks in a row, I didn’t even know if I’d make the top 20!" She then "told everyone it wasn't about the placement – that was my past." The candid memoir that has come complete with a high-profile book tour and televised interviews has also seen Jessica reveal details over her childhood sexual abuse at the hands of another female. Likewise, of her hitting rock-bottom with alcohol, starting drinking at 7.30 a.m. on Halloween 2017.

Fans 'Can't Put It Down'

Jessica seems to have won fans over with this one. Her post yesterday saw a fan write: "Loved your book! Read it in 3days.. couldn’t put it down! ❤️" – and they weren't alone. Kardashian party planner Mindy Weiss also replied, writing: "Loved loved loved your book! ❤️💃🏻👍🏻👏🏻😎 And you of course!" As to Jessica being a skinny Minny these days, it's still a talking point after the star welcomed third baby Birdie Mae in March 2019. After tipping the scales at 240 pounds, Jessica dropped 100 pounds in just six months.
