Elizabeth Hurley received some shocking news on Monday after her ex-husband, Steve Bing, allegedly leapt to his death from a high-rise luxury apartment building in Los Angeles. 55-year-old Bing was a screenwriter, producer and film fancier in Hollywood, best known for writing "Kangaroo Jack" and being a financial backer of the Tom Hanks Christmas classic, "The Polar Express."

According to Deadline, Bing jumped from a balcony in Century City around 1 PM on Monday and did not survive the lengthy fall.

Bing was also a big political philanthropist and was especially close to President Bill Clinton, having donated more than $10 million to Clinton's non-profit,

Steve Bing and Elizabeth Hurley shared a son together, 18-year-old Damian Hurley, who is known for his striking good looks and flourishing modeling career. Hurley and Bing were together until 2002 when they had a very public and nasty breakup.

It's unclear what led Bing down the path of suicide, but TMZ reports that he had been suffering from depression due to a lack of human contact amid the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine.

Unfortunate Timing

Elizabeth Hurley could not have known what was to come later, but she actually posted a very titillating photo on her Instagram Monday afternoon just before the time officials responded to the scene of her ex.

Hurley, who lives out in the lush countryside of the UK, posted a photo wearing a thin sweater that was opened up to reveal she had nothing on underneath.

"The temperature’s rising in our beautiful countryside- fourteen weeks at home and England is blooming," the "Bedazzled" star captioned her photo while playfully tugging down her pants.

Hurley has not yet addressed the death of Steve Bing.
