B. Simone made giant waves this year as Forbes profiled her for her $1 million earnings netted in just 50 days. B. Simone, who admitted that her marketing manager worked without pay for one year, has made the money from her cruelty-free beauty brand and multi-faceted career, however the star herself kicked off with nothing. B. Simone appeared in hot water this month after her “Baby Girl: Manifest Your Life” book made headlines for allegedly having been swiped “word for word” from bloggers and sites including Pinterest. While Simone was defended on Twitter by 33-year-old rapper Meek Mill, the star has since spoken out over the allegations. An Instagram video now viewed over 1.9 million times saw Simone be careful with “legal” implications as she apologized. She also blamed an “outsourced team,” claiming she had no idea what they were doing. More below.
A caption opening that B. Simone has “built” her career on “transparency,” continued: “Like most creatives I outsourced a team to help me with the details, the graphics, the wording, the arrangement of my book. I trusted this team of individuals to take my vision and translate it into what I hoped to be a map towards manifestation.” The star then vowed to “fix” the issue, also stating that copies of her book would be temporarily pulled. Fans largely seemed supportive amid the apology.
