Darrell Brooks spoke for the first time since the Waukesha parade attack.

When the county clerk asked if he could hear, Brooks replied, “Yes.”

That was the only word that Brooks spoke the entire hearing.

The hearing was called because Joseph Domask wished to step down as his lawyer.

He said he had “too many relationships” with the over 60 victims of the parade attack.

Judge David Feiss granted the motion.

Domask was representing Brooks for a November 2021 charge where he was accused of running over the mother of his child.

He was also representing him for a July 2020 case where Brooks reportedly shot his nephew.

A different lawyer is representing Brooks in the parade tragedy.
