B. Simone is not shying away from the controversy over her latest book and admitting that mistakes were made, and now the star wants to move forward and make things right.

The "Wild 'n Out" star came under fire over the weekend after it was revealed that excerpts and content in her book had been plagiarized from online bloggers and Internet memes.

Simone had been silent over the accusations surrounding "Baby Girl: Manifest the Life You Want," and even stars like Meek Mill came out and ripped critics for being so harsh on the actress.

Admits There Were Mistakes

On Monday Simone posted a video to social media explaining the situation and owning up to mistakes that she had made. Basically, Simone admitted that a team had been put in place to compile creative content for the book, and that she had no idea authors weren't getting the proper credit.

"I want to be honest with you all ALWAYS! Like most creatives I outsourced a team to help me with the details, the graphics, the wording, the arrangement of my book. I trusted this team of individuals to take my vision and translate it into what I hoped to be a map towards manifestation." Simone explained.

Wants To Make It Right

In the wake of the controversy, B. Simone said she is now contacting the proper authors and making sure credit is given where it is due.

"I have reached out directly to every content creator that was disadvantaged an I am doing everything I can to fix this issue and make everyone whole. Even though this was not intentional, I am still so very sorry to the content creators and i understand their frustration 100%" she wrote.

It's unclear what Simone will be doing to make the situation right for the creatives who were ripped off, but she's taking responsibility for the failure.

"I am the leader and I dropped the ball. I am working everyday to be a better human, a better woman, a better professional, and to do that successfully I have to own my shit," Simone wrote to her millions of fans.

Support From Celebs

As we reported, Meek Mill led the charge over the weekend of defending B Simone from the onslaught of criticism and hate she was receiving following the revelation about her book.

"B Simone canceled because she finnesed a book and made her way from the bottom lol what major companies y’all cancel for ripping our culture off? finding ways to display hate towards our own when they start doing good is showing amongst us a lot!" he wrote in defense of Simone.

Simone didn't publicly thank Meek for having her back, but there's no doubt the support from the "Going Bad" rapper added a different perspective to the situation.
