Hollywood isn’t as big as it seems. In fact, a lot of celebrities followed their parents into the industry.
Drew Barrymore, for example, is a member of the Barrymore Family, which is a long-lasting Hollywood dynasty going back decades.
Billie Lourd, known for her role in “American Horror Story,” is the daughter of the late Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia in “Star Wars”) and the granddaughter of the late Debbie Reynolds whose career lasted over 70 years.
Here are four other celebrities with famous parents:
Actress and Goop-founder, Gwyneth Paltrow, is the daughter of actress Blythe Danner.
Danner received two Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role on the show, “Huff.” She’s also appeared in “Will & Grace,” “Meet the Parents,” and “The X-Files,” to name a few.
Paltrow’s father, Bruce, was a television and film director. He died in 2002 from oral cancer and pneumonia.
During a 2019 interview, Paltrow revealed her father called her out when she was younger, for letting fame go to her head.
“I was just believing my own hype, thinking that I was super awesome,” she recalled. “And he was like, ‘You’re getting weird — you’re acting like a dick.’”
“Star Trek” actor Chris Pine has a pretty famous family.
His father, Robert Pine, is best known for playing Sgt. Joseph Getraer on the television series “CHiPs.” He also starred in “Days of Our Lives,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” and “Match Game.”
Pine’s mother, Gwynne Gilford, is also an actress. She starred in “A New Kind of Family,” “The Young Lawyers,” and “The Waverly Wonders,” and the movie, “Beware! The Blob.”
After retiring from acting, Gilford went on to become a psychotherapist.
“Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay is the daughter of Jayne Mansfield. Mansfield was a famous actress, singer, and entertainer. She was one of the original Playboy Playmates.
Throughout her career, she won several awards, including a Golden Globe.
Her second marriage was with Mickey Hargitay and the two gave birth to Mariska in 1964.
In 1967, while driving with her children, and two other adults, Mansfield’s car crashed into a tractor-trailer. The adults in the front seat died instantly, while the children in the back survived.
If the last name sounds familiar, there’s a reason.
Scott Eastwood, who appeared in the movie “The Longest Ride,” “Gran Torino,” and “Fury” is the son of Clint Eastwood. Eastwood, 90, is a well-known actor, director, and producer.
For his work in “Million Dollar Baby”, he received an Academy Award for Best Director and Best Picture. He was also nominated for Best Actor.
And while you might think Scott has a leg up in the industry due to his famous dad, he’s treated like every other actor.
“I’ve auditioned for pretty much every one of my father’s movies,” Eastwood told Variety. And whenever he’s rejected, “You don’t get a phone call,” he said. “It’s nothing personal.”
