Megan Thee Stallion truly is an inspiration for black singers and performers. In just a year, she went from being an up-and-coming artist to creating one of the most viral songs this year, topping the number one spot on Billboard Hot 100 after the remix with Beyonce.
The “thicc” singer (as many fans call her) is nothing short of deliciously “savage” and she has the sassy moves to prove it. The 25-year-old pop/rap sensation just released a spicy dance video as a celebration for the “at home” graduation for the class of 2020.
Due to the global pandemic that has many forced to stay home (and thousands out of work, yikes) schools in many areas of the US haven’t been able to resume, and aren’t expected to start requiring attendance in the physical classroom until the Fall.
This has unfortunately been terrible news for the graduating class of 2020, who have not been able to attend a gathering for graduation.
To cheer them up and celebrate what is truly a momentous occasion for thousands of students, numerous celebrities have started making epic-level videos to celebrate with them virtually. Including the feisty Stallion herself.
The latest video (which was posted about 15 hours ago) shows Megan dancing in a kitchen with two backup dancers. Their outfits look like something straight out of Rihanna’s “Savage Fenty X” collection sporting what looks like a dazzling pattern full of shiny rhinestones.
Needless to say, the bass isn’t the only thing shaking as the trio break it down to Megan’s iconic beat. From dropping it down low to twerking what your mamma gave ya’, this dance routine absolutely destroys.
Speaking of the Fenty brand, Rihanna herself couldn’t resist featuring the rich skin-toned Stallion for a photo shoot sporting the “Savage” lingerie. It makes a lot of sense though, especially with how many gorgeous pictures the singer has taken in various swimwear on Instagram.
That photoshoot came after she was featured on the cover of RollingStone and had an amazing interview sharing how it feels to suddenly be so successful as an artist. The pictures she took for that interview were truly stunning.
Just before releasing her bombshell dance video as part of the virtual graduation hosted by YouTube, Stallion posted an update announcing her participation (about 7 hours before going live) and captioned the post saying:
“In this incredibly difficult time, I want to honor the Class of 2020 who will go on to create positive changes in the world. I’m humbled to be able to celebrate graduates today. “
Fans were thrilled, and the dance video has nearly 4 million likes at the time of this writing!
