On Monday, Lea Michele was called out by a former “Glee” castmate for reported bad behavior.

Samantha Ware commented on Michele’s tweet saying, “Remember when you made my first television gig a living hell?!?! Cause I’ll never forget. I believe you told everyone that if you had the opportunity you would ‘s–t in my wig!’ amongst other traumatic microaggressions that made me question a career in Hollywood.”

Since then, several other castmates and people who’ve worked with Michele, have shared their own negative experiences with the actress.

Shortly after the backlash, Michele was dropped as a spokesperson for the Meal kit company, HelloFresh.

On Wednesday, the actress issued an apology on Instagram claiming she’s “never judged others by their background or color of their skin…”

Her apology received additional backlash, with some saying she wasn’t owning up to her behavior. But according to a source, the 33-year-old is taking the matter seriously.

“She’s had a real wake-up call,” a friend of Michele’s told revealed. “It’s never easy to hear people speak about you this way. It’s a total shock.”

Another source told Page Six, “Lea was a bitch to a lot of people who are now taking the opportunity to come forward. She may not be the nicest person, but she’s not racist, sexist, or transphobic. I would say she has behavioral issues that she’s dealing with.”

The source continued, “She is listening, she hears what everyone says and wants to apologize. This is her past and she wants to handle things responsibly.”

Heather Morris, who appeared alongside Michele on “Glee,” shared her own thoughts.

“Let me be very clear, Hate is a disease in America that we are trying to cure, so I would never wish for hate to be spread to anyone else,” Morris began.

She continued, “With that said, was she unpleasant to work with? Very much so; for Lea to treat others with the disrespect that she did for as long as she did, I believe she SHOULD be called out. It’s also on us because to allow it to go on for so long without speaking out is something else we’re learning along with the rest of society."

“But, at the current moment it’s implied that she is a racist and although I cannot comment on her beliefs, I think we’re assuming, and you know what happens when we all assume…,” the actress concluded.

Michele is currently expecting a child with her husband Zandy Reich, who she married in 2019. The actress announced the news on May 2nd with an Instagram post of her pregnant belly and the caption:“So grateful.”

Michele’s rumored to be about seven months pregnant.
