One of the most intriguing couples on “90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days” this season consisted of Lisa “Babygirl” Hamme and Usman “Sojaboy” Umar. While few people believed that Umar and Hamme were a true love match, many were still shocked when Umar revealed that he never loved Hamme.
The last season of the show has been extremely tense. The two have fought about Hamme’s jealousies, Umar’s music career, and allegations that Umar is using Hamme. With the two getting married at the end of the season, many wonder where the couple stands.
Recently, Usmar opened up about his relationship with Hamme, shedding his true feelings on The Domenick Nati Show. On the show, Umar said that he did not marry Hamme simply to be on television or to scam her for money. He said that if he was trying to scam somebody he would have gone for “someone who is rich.”
During the interview, Umar also revealed that he has not applied for a green card and does not intend on coming to the United States at this time. Apparently, things with Hamme are not going as planned.
One reason Umar is so worried to come to the United States? He is afraid that Hamme will call the cops on him and he will be subjected to police brutality.
Umar clarifies that he has no contact with Hamme right now and has blocked her on his social media profiles. He also claimed that Hamme has been harassing his fans on social media.
Umar claims that the couple is headed for divorce if things do not drastically change in the near future.
Umar was asked about whether or not he loved Hamme, but he didn’t want to answer the question. Ultimately, he revealed that the reason he married Hamme was not love. He claimed that the reason for the marriage was “pity.”
Hamme has not responded to Umar’s claim that he was with her out of pity. With the tell-all airing this weekend, it will become more clear where their relationship stands as of several weeks ago. Hamme’s return to the United States has clearly been conducive to conflict in the marriage.
Hamme has been posting photos of the wedding she and Umar had in Nigeria over the last couple weeks, likely to coincide with the airing of the wedding on last week’s episode of “Before the 90 Days.”
Before Hamme shared the photos, she accused Umar of being part of a romance scam. In one statement, Hamme said, “it is very apparent that I am the victim of romance scam. My husband has used TLC, his family, his friends, people around the world. . .”
Hamme has also released text messages between her and her husband, revealing that the relationship is extremely contentious right now.
