50 Cent just had an enlightening interview with Armchair Expert podcast where the “In da Club” rapper shared how he’s managed to stay sober during parties and venues which serve alcohol. Although one could easily assume that this hardcore performer would have a fairly high tolerance for spirits, the 44-year-old performer shared that he is actually a “lightweight drinker”.

Curtis (50 Cent) is actually quite a perceptive person. At parties that he’s hosted, he recognizes how his guests look to him to gauge the speed at which they imbibe. Something he greatly uses to his advantage.

The Grammy Award-winning artist, previously signed under Eminem himself, asserted that the only way he’s been able to keep up with the party crowd is due to an illusion he uses which makes it look like he’s drinking substantially more than he actually is.

When he’s presented a bottle of liquor, he will take a glass, but refill guests’ drink around him and then have a bottle of ginger ale brought out for himself. Naturally, this proves extremely effective in convincing his guests that they can drink freely. After all, 50 Cent is on his second bottle!

Being able to maintain a healthy work ethic while focusing on his family, without being constantly intoxicated, makes a big difference for the rapper. (Including when he's with his girlfriend)

Speaking of work ethic, 50 Cent has yet to announce the release date of his upcoming album “Street King Immortal” which fans are dying to hear.

When asked by XXL whether he still loved his son Marquise, he replied, “I used to”.

After reciting a saying that his grandfather told him involving how if something looks and behaves like a snake, it probably is a snake, the rapper said the following about his firstborn son:

“… everytime you see the boy, he shows up with somebody you got a problem with.’ What does that tell you?”

In a bit of a melancholy manner, Fifty continued the interview by talking about how his relationship with his ex Shaniqua Tompkins, he had less than praiseworthy comments about her. In fact, the rapper actually attributed his father-son issues with Marquise to his ex, saying:

“...you don’t necessarily pray for the things that come with it. It’s no such thing as success without jealousy, without envy or entitlement...His mom developed an entitlement that cannot be met, filtering that energy through his actual personal interests.”
