Lisa Vanderpump appeared on the “Pump Rules: After Show” on Tuesday night after the first installment of the virtual “Vanderpump Rules” season eight reunion and while chatting with her producers, she opened up about her thoughts on the success of her co-stars, including the many cast mates she has who have gotten married and purchased their first homes in recent years.
While sitting next to Jax Taylor, Lisa said that when she sees her co-stars reach milestones, she can’t help but feel proud.
“I love to see that. I couldn’t be happier than when I see them with their houses and I will have great joy in seeing them with their babies and getting married because ultimately, I feel responsible for dragging them into this whole scenario,” Lisa explained.
As fans of “Vanderpump Rules” well know, the series was launched in January 2013 as a spinoff of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” which Lisa starred on in a full-time position for its first nine seasons.
Because Lisa chose to feature her staff at SUR Restaurant for “Vanderpump Rules,” some might say she single-handedly put them on the map and allowed them to experience the successes in life that they’ve seen, including their many podcasts and book deals.
Luckily, a number of the stars of the show have made sure that they have shown their appreciation to Lisa.
“Some of them are very respectful and grateful and Jax has been one of them. He’s often said to me, ‘Thank you,’ which I really, really appreciate,” Lisa shared.
According to Lisa, she was upset to see that after her “Vanderpump Rules” cast mates went through a number of ups and downs over the past several years, they seemingly reached a stalemate in a series of their relationships.
“What upset me about this season was I felt that it seemed the stakes were higher in the relationships. I’m very saddened to see that this relationship between Sandoval and Jax and [the relationship between] Kristen and Stassi,” Lisa explained to her producers.
Lisa went on to say that despite the ups and downs of past seasons, her co-stars have always managed to make amends until season eight.
“I mean, they’re relationships that I’ve seen nurtured and they’ve fallen apart and it’s been more fickle, stupid, petty bickering but this season it seemed to be something that was more serious,” she shared.
