Larsa Pippen has been receiving mixed feedback on Instagram. The 45-year-old reality star and ex to NBA face Scottie Pippen went dark on her own account for #BlackoutTuesday – Larsa is, however, also running her April-16-launched Larsa Pippen Fitness brand, where content has bucked the trend. The Instagram account fronting Larsa Pippen Fitness posted an update early on Tuesday, at approximately 7 a.m. Pacific Time. While figure-flaunting snaps of Larsa – who has been told she looks 21 – generally prove well-received amid fans, this bikini update caused a stir.
The photo was definitely a winner on the fitness front. It showed the former “Real Housewives of Miami” star in her pristine and spacious bedroom, with Larsa taking up the foreground as she rocked a tight, bright, and orange bikini in pastels, with a gray-and-orange baseball cap also matching the peachy palette. Rock-hard abs, curvy hips, and toned muscles were all on show. A caption read: “I just finished my Stunning arm workout!! I’m gonna start calling my users for feedback ?.”
Larsa’s fitness brand has yet to amass a large following, although its 11,400 followers in under a month are nonetheless testimony to the star’s popularity. Comments saw fans on either side of the fence. While “Motivation ?” and “Stunning indeed ?” sent Larsa the thumbs-up, other responses seemed to find the update tone-deaf in the wake of 46-year-old black man George Floyd’s murder. Specifically, with yesterday being #BlackoutTuesday.
“Why would you post this today? #BLM” a fan wrote. Another said: “This is what’s important right now? ?” Larsa, whose four children are of color, was, however backed up.
Another unimpressed fan wrote: “I know. I was confused when I see all these posts about what’s going on and then I see this bikini picture. Just wow @larsapippenfitness.” That said, another backed the star, whose four children are shared with 54-year-old ex Scottie – “she has black kids @larsapippenfitness ??♀️??♀️??♀️,” the fan wrote. Larsa’s own Instagram, followed by 1.9 million, has featured a Martin Luther King photo and quote, her #BlackoutTuesday cube, plus her most recent presidential primaries voting urge. A message has also been delivered regarding raising black kids.
Sunday saw Larsa take to Instagram with a post that was dubbed “beautifully said” by actress Heather Dubrow. Larsa wrote: “As a mother raising 4 black children in America it’s more than devastating and heart breaking to see the insecurity, lack of exposure, and ignorance that continues on a daily basis especially in modern times.”
“No one should ever have to live in fear based on their skin color! This despicable behavior continues to happen daily. It’s time for change now. #georgefloyd #ahmaudarbery #mchalerose,” she added. Over 9,900 likes have been left.
