Following rapper Lil Wayne's controversial statement regarding the protests stemming nationwide from the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police, it appears that well-known conservative 'Fox Nation' contributor Tomi Lahren has spoken out in his defense.

The personality praised Wayne's statements on the matter, speaking during a new episode of 'Final Thoughts' about how he has chosen to propagate a different narrative about social justice reform than his peers, which has led to criticism but pledging her support for his ideas.

During a May 28 livestream with fellow rapper Fat Joe, Wayne expressed his thoughts about the protests gripping the nation currently, sharing a take that many found to be less than ideal.

"I think when we see these situations, I think we also have to understand that we have to get very specific, and what I mean by that is we have to stop viewing it with such a broad view, meaning we have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody or a certain race or everybody with a badge," the rapper commented.

"We have to actually get into who that person is," the rapper continued to mention. "And if we want to place the blame on anybody, it should be ourselves for not doing more than what we think we’re doing."

Many have called Wayne's comments controversial in the wake of them being shared, but Lahren fully supports the rapper, commending him for speaking out about the way protestors are reacting to police in a way that many of his peers may not have done.

"Some, like Chrissy Teigen, have taken this tragedy as a time to encourage lawlessness, while others, like Lil Wayne, have taken a much different approach, an approach that has made him the target of outrage culture and to some, a traitor. Why? He chose not to fall in line with the popular narrative that law enforcement as a whole deserves to be demonized." she said during her show's most recent broadcast, showcasing her immense support for the rapper's viewpoint on the situation.

Lahren furthered her support of Wayne with some numbers, commenting, "We have about 700,000 law enforcement officers in this country who are professional, decent and brave, who protect and defend the weak, the innocent, the voiceless day in and day out with little respect and little support. Of course, we have bad apples in the force, just like we have bad people in this country and in the world."

"So thank you, Lil Wayne, for speaking up. Your audience probably won't listen to me say it, but coming from you, it might make a huge difference," the 'Fox' contributor concluded her praise of the rapper.
