‘Glee’ Star Lea Michele Is Facing Backlash From A Former Castmate

Lea Michele’s former "Glee" co-star, Samantha Marie Ware, just accused the actress of tormenting her while on set.

On Monday, Michele, 33, paid tribute to George Floyd on Twitter writing, “George Floyd did not deserve this. This was not an isolated incident and it must end.”

Ware, who played Jane Hayward On "Glee" in 2015, responded to Michele’s tweet, calling out her behavior from all those years ago.

She wrote, “LMAO REMEMBER WHEN YOU MADE MY FIRST TELEVISION GIG A LIVING HELL?!?! CAUSE ILL NEVER FORGET."

Following her tweet, Amber Riley, who played Mercedes Jones on “Glee” posted a GIF of herself sipping tea, which some fans believe was her indirect way of agreeing with the rumors.

Yvette Nicole Brown, who starred in "The Mayor" with Michele commented on Ware's tweet with the caption: "I felt every one of those capital letters. ✊🏾"

After "Glee," Ware, 28, went on to appear in the 2019 Netflix thriller movie, “What/If.”

Michele got her start as a child actress on Broadway where she appeared in several plays including, "Les Misérables," "Fiddler on the Roof," and "Spring Awakening."

In 2009, she landed the role of Rachel Berry on “Glee," which she starred in until the show's finale episode in 2015.

While on “Glee,” Michele dated her co-star, Cory Monteith. The two played love interests on the show and stayed together until July 2013, when Monteith died of an overdose.

In 2014, Michele opened up about his death admitting, "it's very hard."

She said, "And you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don't have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort."

In 2018, Michele became engaged to entrepreneur Zandy Reich. The two married in northern California, in 2019 and announced they were expecting a child in May 2020.

Since Ware’s explosive tweet, several people have commented with their own stories.

Dabier Snell, who appeared on “Glee,” wrote, “GIRL YOU WOULDNT LET ME SIT AT THE TABLE WITH THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS CAUSE ‘I DIDNT BELONG THERE’ F–K YOU LEA.”

Michele has yet to publically comment on the allegations. But earlier this year, she reminisced about the good times on the "Glee" set.

“We were just, like, so happy,” she told People. “We were really having the time of our lives.”
