Kristen Doute has become known as "Crazy Kristen" over the past several years on "Vanderpump Rules" and in her new book, "He's Making You Crazy: How to Get the Guy, Get Even, and Get Over It," she's embracing the label.

During an interview with The Washington Post on June 2, Kristen opened up about her memoir and explained that while she's been labeled as "crazy" for years, she's no longer taking the label as a bad thing. Instead, she's loving her "crazy."

After the outlet asked Kristen if she was attempting to fight back against the on-screen persona she's gotten on "Vanderpump Rules" due to her many failures in love, she revealed that after years of acting out, she finally realized that it wasn't she who was making herself crazy. It was the men in her life.

"We started realizing that the emotions that we were feeling and the quote-unquote 'irrational behavior' that we were projecting … really had nothing to do with us," Kristen explained of the process that went into the writing of her book, which is co-written by Michele Alexander of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."

According to Kristen, she found that after realizing the men in her life were causing her to act out, she came to the conclusion that they were the problem and admittedly targeted a number of her past romances in her book.

"It was poking fun at these guys who were calling us crazy, like crazy was a bad thing. Actually, no. It means that we’re passionate and we care and we have emotions and we respect ourselves," she explained.

Although "crazy" is often known as a bad word, especially when given to a female due to her relationship behavior, Kristen said that she's learned to embrace her crazy and understand that when it comes to her passion, there's nothing to be ashamed about.

"That’s what this dreaded C-word is all about. So rather than continuing this 'crazy Kristen' negative connotation, we were like let’s just take the C-word back, and let’s explain why it’s his fault," Kristen said with a laugh.

Also during her interview with The Washington Post, Kristen said that there's a lot more to her than what fans have seen on "Vanderpump Rules."

"They have a story to tell, and there are a lot of cast members, especially this season,” Kristen said. “But I’m not a one-dimensional person.”
