Following the completion of the 12th season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” last month, Kenya spoke to Hollywood Life about how she and Marc have been doing as they continue to co-parent their one-year-old daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly, before sharing her thoughts about getting back together with Marc nearly one year after their separation.
“We have been doing great,” Kenya confirmed of herself and Marc while appearing on the latest episode of Hollywood Life’s “TV Talk.”
While Kenya and Marc are doing well as they co-parent their daughter, they are also spending tons of time away from one another as he focuses on his restaurant business in New York and the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member remains in Georgia.
“He’s in New York. We FaceTime him every day. Co-parenting is amazing,” she continued.
“It’s hard because it’s been months now and it’s a little sad because he’s not here with us and Brooklyn really misses her dad, so for me, I can’t wait for it all to be over so our family can be reunited,” Kenya admitted.
As for the possibility of getting back together for good, Kenya says she’s taking things one step at a time.
“We have a lot of work to do and whether or not our marriage survives and everything, it’s only God that knows that,” she stated.
Kenya and Marc parted ways with one another in September 2019 after tying the knot two years prior in June 2017. However, because they welcomed a baby girl together in November 2018, they have remained in one another’s lives and continue to do what’s best for their child.
Currently, Kenya and Brooklyn are in quarantine together in Atlanta and celebrating Brooklyn becoming the new face of Kenya’s haircare line.
“She loves the cameras and she loves the lights,” Kenya said of her only child.
In addition to working to make her haircare line a success, Kenya is also working with Babyquest, a non-profit organization that helps “with reproduction.”
“They have assistance in the way of a grant for everything that you could possibly imagine. I just don’t think that money should stand in the way of a family wanting to have a child,” she explained.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast is expected to go into production on their upcoming 13th season at some point in the coming months.
