Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes were spotted amongst the thousands protesting for justice in Miami on Sunday night.

Cabello, 22, and Mendes, 21, have been isolating with Cabello's parents in South Florida since the coronavirus outbreak began in March. The pair have been dating for just over a year.

Many began to worry for the safety of both Cabello and Mendes as videos began to surface on social media.

"PLEASE DELETE THIS, YOU'RE PUT THEM IN DANGER," someone said in a sea of tweets.

"Delete pls, cops use the photos and videos to identify, search, and arrest them," another wrote.

A third begged they "delete for the pr0testers’ safety."

After the photos had been online for an hour, someone said, "this person is just being ignorant at this point."

"They’re not making an effort to understand that actions like THIS have led to the unfair detainment of a lot of protesters."

Cabello and Mendes have now added their names to a growing list of celebrities putting themselves on the front lines of the Black Lives Matter movement.

On Saturday, Paris Jackson and Emily Ratajkowski each shared photos from the protests on Instagram. Pop singer Halsey also tweeted that Los Angeles police officers shot rubber bullets even though she "did not breach the line."

However, a major Camila Cabello fan account told their 180,000+ followers they would not be updating about her involvement in the protests. In their words, the "Black Lives Matter movement is not about celebrities and what they’re doing during this time."

"Taking the focus away from the movement is not only disrespectful to those who are apart of it but also to those that have lost their lives," they tweeted Sunday.

"Camila went to the street to scream for equality, you should be proud of her," some said in response.

"WE’RE TALKING ABOU CAMILA’S INFLUENCE. she ‘s THERE if someone who likes her see it they will SUPPORT IT," another wrote.

Making a sub-reply, someone felt it really "depends on how it's done though.

"Not many, but with some posts i have seen of her and Shawn there it focused more on 'big stars here' or 'favorites' and didn't even say much on protest." In their opinion, "neither one wants their names to be highlighted in what they support."

Cabello and Mendes were wearing face masks while holding up homemade signs.

Their joining of the Black Lives Matter movement came just hours after 21-year-old pop star Madison Beer was tear-gassed while protesting in Los Angeles:

"LEAVE SANTA MONICA NOW IF YOU CAN I WAS JUST TEAR GASSED THEY ARE ARRESTING EVERYONE AND TEAR GASSING ALL CROWDS," she tweeted just after 5:30 PT.

Beer's next update showed a slew of police cars sounding their sirens, but no one has heard anything since. More on this below...
