Savannah Chrisley didn’t seem to care that half her Instagram followers were screaming: “Social DISTANCING” at her on Friday. The 22-year-old reality star – whose father Todd Chrisley was the “sickest I’ve ever been” during his April COVID hospitalization – faced immense backlash ahead of the weekend for a group beach photo showing her with fiancé Nic Kerdiles, plus two married couples. As The Blast reported, the “Chrisley Knows Best” star had both the group setting and the proximity of everyone in the image ripping her to shreds. It doesn’t look like the Georgia-born beauty was remotely fussed.
Keep scrolling for the snap that landed after the group image. Comments asking Savannah: “Where’s the social DISTANCE?” have actually increased since The Blast first documented early responses, with feedback now including: “I guess you think you don’t have to do social distancing.”
“Supposed to be social distancing” is now the most-liked comment. The trolling remark informing the blonde that her alleged failure to social distance is “probably the reason why your dad got sick” gained 40 likes – fortunately, Savannah received backing here as a user replied: “Shut up.”
While those COVID comments just kept racking up – “Have you been quarantined together? If not…really?” – Savannah returned to drop another photo of her stunning bikini body doubling up as a reminder that her 2018 engagement to Kerdiles is rock-solid. A snap showing her South Beach Diet body in a floral string bikini as she cozied up to her man came captioned: “I tend to occasionally be funny…(you should’ve seen my original caption!) ? beach with my fav ?.” A sweet 90,000+ likes have been left. IG can go both ways with replies, though.
There’s been a shift over in the group photo’s comments, with some users voicing the mild lifting of lock-down restrictions.
“For everyone ranting about social distancing…. this IS social distancing! It’s a wide open beach. Social distancing (by CDC guidelines for “groups” or families even) means apart from “other people” not 6ft apart from each person in your own group of ten or less people. Give them a break,” one fan wrote.
Meanwhile, the user probing Chrisley over whether the group had quarantined together found themselves replied to: “10 or less,” the comment read. Scroll for dadTodd’s COVID reveal.
52-year-old real estate mogul Todd fronted media outlets in April for his COVID reveal. A fever of 100-103 degrees left him “the sickest I’ve ever been” as he was hospitalized for five days, with Savannah even taking to Instagram to admit that she’d prayed God would take her and not her father. The family’s “Chrisley Confessions” podcast also saw Todd’s wife say: ‘For the people out here who are not taking it seriously, that’s what we want you to take from today’s episode.” Savannah, who has had bikini snaps trolled out of all proportion this year in a “wh-ring” storm, may have received negativity for the outing, but bar the remark over her father, the concern seemed genuine.
