Actress Lisa Raye went off on the producers of The “Real Housewives” franchise this week. The “Player’s Club” star stopped by the “Young, Black, and Fabulous” podcast where she revealed that she shut down any offers that Bravo had for her. The media giant offered Raye a role on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” but she just wasn’t here for it. “I politely gave them the ‘No thank you,’” said Raye who went on to say, “I actually have a legitimate career.”

She believes that the state of reality TV has been atrocious, and therefore, refuses to be apart of it. “I’m really not a fan of reality TV right now, it’s so much buffoonery and so much negativity that I’m shocked at the s**t that they show." Raye is not only a mother she is now a grandmother and would rather focus her roles on showing the genuine, mature side of her. The “A House Divided” star made a few scathing criticisms about what she has seen so far on reality TV.

“That’s how you would treat your friend?” asked Raye. “I can’t be in a scene like that because then it would turn real for me and then it would be no more scenes because I would tear that mutha up and I’d be sued.” She also revealed that she simply has no time to be going back and forth with some of these women. "I’m too old for certain s**t and I refuse to showcase that kind of stuff on TV being a grown, respectable woman,” she clarified.

The glam-ma made sure to acknowledge that she isn’t necessarily knocking the women who choose to be on reality tv it’s just not her cup of tea. You see, she would rather sip tea than be the tea, like most would. However, she does acknowledge that she has to give props to her girlfriends who are currently on reality TV shows like, Garcelle Beauvais, who is the first black cast member of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”. She made sure to share that she respects her friend’s decision and has been “super supportive” of her girl.

Th “All Of Us” actress rounded her interview out by giving fans a much-needed update on a few reboots based on some of her great rolls in the past. Raye’s “Player’s Club” character Diamond made women everywhere look at exotic dancing in a different light. Making a reboot or sequel would be the next logical step. “I saw Ice Cube last year, I pulled him to the side, and I said, ‘I think it’s time for a second Player’s Club.’ He said, ‘Oh yeah, let’s talk about it.’ And then that’s when the Jennifer Lopez movie came out. So, then I felt like, do we still want ours to be – still have that urban twist or make it bigger? More universal? So, let’s just say that that’s going to be discussed.”
