"Nobody knows because, really, there's no planning right now,” Lopez explained to the show's hosts in her candid recounting of the last few months. "You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out, and it's disappointing on one level. You know, after the Super Bowl and after 'World of Dance,' after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off."

However, Lopez's plans were thrown off by the spread of COVID-19 which has is now trending towards two million cases globally.

"Which is what we're doing kind of right now, but at the same time, you know, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year. But everything's kind of on hold right now," she continued to explain during the video interview.

Show host Hoda Kotb sympathized with Lopez's situation, saying her and husband-to-be Joel Schiffman are in a similar situation struggling to find an apt time to discuss rescheduling their planned nuptials that were thrown off due to COVID.

"Joel and I were actually talking about the same kind of things," she mentioned to Lopez, "We're not sure what's going to happen with our date."

Lopez then confessed her feelings on the matter, stating, "I'm a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans," in regards to the proposed extravagant wedding.

However, the singer said despite the circumstances she is not allowing anything to bring her down that much, looking towards the future and what it will bring for hope.

"I'm also like, 'You know what? God has a bigger plan,'" she told 'Today.' "So we just have to wait and see. Maybe it's going to be better. I have to believe that it will be."

Lopez then doubled down on her famous stance, encouraging people to still get up and dance despite the circumstances, "It's time to dance again. You know, when I wrote the song 'Dance Again,' I had just gotten a divorce, and I needed something to bring me back. That song signified that for me because it was a traumatic time for me," she confessed, imploring fans to follow in her footsteps.
