Donald Trump continues to try to take shots at Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on social media. Trump appears to continue to lose it as he faces more criticism for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and how he ignored early signs of it entering the United States. He also golfed over Memorial Day weekend, something that he has done very frequently throughout the course of his presidency. Now, his Snapchat team took to the app on May 25 to come at Biden in a different way.
A slideshow of Biden was shown as T.I.’s 2008 mega hit single “Whatever You Like” was being played. The song was remixed to where T.I. was saying “Yea, I don’t want Joe Biden/ Don’t need Joe Biden/ As long as you got me, you don’t need Joe Biden.” Social media wasn’t feeling this at all as they don’t want a legendary artist such as T.I. tied to Trump’s campaign. Everyone also knows that T.I. has never supported Trump and has been highly critical of him.
Back in 2016 on Instagram, T.I. said “I say this as nonviolently but unapologetically as possible. Fk you and fk what you stand for. Nobody who support me will support you.” T.I. was also very vocal in being against Kanye West supporting Trump, who sadly wore Trump’s infamous MAGA hat (Make America Great Again) plenty of times since 2018. He even went to visit Trump in the White House that fall. Many felt that West sold his soul and isn’t the man we grew up listening to.
T.I. labeled West’s White House meeting with Trump as the “most repulsive, disgraceful, embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen,” and added that had he been there with him, he would’ve felt “compelled to slap the s**t out of you, bro – for the people!”
“You ass kissing and boot licking on a whole new level &I refuse to associate myself with something so vile, weak,& inconsiderate to the effect this has on the greater good of ALL OUR PEOPLE!!!! ” added T.I. “I’m a true believer in “It ain’t what you do,it’s how you do it.” And this shit is regurgitating?! At one time it was a pleasure to work alongside you… now, I’m ashamed to have ever been associated with you.”
T.I. has also been very local over the past six years in regards to social justice issues in America such as racism and police brutality. He also spoke in his hometown of Atlanta on how important it was to elect Keisha Lance Bottoms as the city’s new mayor in 2017. That did happen as she was sworn in as the 60th mayor of the city. Hopefully, he addresses Trump’s team using his image and likeness on Snapchat without his permission as well.
