According to a May 21 report from Hollywood Life, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member and mother of four believes that when it comes to her impending divorce from Joe, his money-making venture will work to her benefit. After all, if Joe, who shares four daughters with Teresa, is making his own money, he’s far less likely to request spousal support from the reality star.
“Teresa is really happy that Joe is working. She wasn’t sure what he’d be doing in Italy, but this gives her a lot of peace of mind and she’s being very supportive. She’s happy he’s bringing in his own income again, but also that he’s doing something he loves,” a source told Hollywood Life.
Teresa and Joe separated after 20 years of marriage at the end of last year after a judge ordered Joe be deported back to Italy due to crimes committed in the United States.
Last week, Joe announced he had signed a contract with a celebrity boxing promoter and with his social media post, he included a photo of himself posing in a pair of boxing gloves.
“Bring it on! I’ve signed up with [Celebrity Boxing One] and am looking for a celebrity challenger! #joegiudice #redemption,” he wrote in the caption of the May 20 post.
According to Hollywood Life Joe’s first fight is scheduled to take place on October 24 in the Bahamas. However, at this point, it does not appear that he’s found an opponent.
As Joe focuses on his life without Teresa in Italy, the longtime “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member can’t help but be excited for her former spouse’s new venture.
“She can see a shift in his attitude and mood in a positive way since the deal came together and there’s already talk of him doing more fights,” the insider shared. “He got really into working out while away and he’s planning on trying to make a career out of this.”
“Teresa is hoping him bringing in his own source of income will help her settlement with him, so she’s all for it,” the insider continued.
As for whether or not Teresa and Joe are moving forward with their split currently, that is unclear.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” season 11 began filming in March. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, production was shut down just days later and currently, it is unknown when the ladies will be able to resume filming on the upcoming episodes.
