Draya Michele grabbed her ice-cream in a bikini yesterday. The 35-year-old reality star and Mint Swim founder – followed by 8 million on Instagram – updated her stories with her Memorial Day weekend outing, delivering the trademark swimwear-come-humor stamp that she’s so adored for.
“Where are we going?” Draya asked her gal pal as she sat strapped behind a seat belt in a pink bikini. “You talking to me? Dressed like this?” was the reply from her sports bra-clad buddy. Scroll for Draya’s outing, plus her best photos.
Draya – who made headlines yesterday for calling Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty underwear “pajamas” – filmed the outing as she cruised through L.A. streets, eventually hitting up a local Baskin Robbins, where footage showed off the “Basketball Wives LA” alum’s killer bikini body closed up as she also donned a Fendi face mask.
“Decisions, decisions,” Draya was heard saying as she perused the iconic brand’s flavors. As to the car journey, it saw the ex to Orlando Scandrick slap her girlfriend with full responsibility – “You made me come out the house like this,” Draya said. Bear in mind, Draya’s love of swimwear is behind her running an empire valued at $1 million in 2017.
Quickly snapping three drizzled sundaes, with “I went there” as the caption, Draya – whose son Jru also accompanied her – was then seen jamming out in the car after her frozen treat trip with her Fendi face mask pulled down. High-end Italian luxury may see the Fashion Nova face flashing the momograms amid COVID-19, but Draya’s 2011-founded swimwear brand has been giving back amid the pandemic. April saw Draya pose with her Chipotle burrito deliveries as Doordash “doubled the order” of donated meals to L.A. hospital workers.
Draya has been making headlines amid COVID-19, both for her razor-sharp wit – “I like ’em 6ft away”
she captioned a recent bikini post – plus for going all-out on the vocab as she eyes up a life without lock-down. Last month, Draya took to social media writing:
“I need a nasty vacation after this virus. I mean NASTY.” Pregnancy scare NASTY.”
Draya’s youngest son is shared with football cornerback Orlando, with the two splitting at the end of 2019 – Orlando then claimed not to know who is baby mama is before making headlines for saying that he’ll always “have love” for her.
Draya has been reminding Instagram that her Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner-approved swimwear brand is no small-time deal – the star founded it with the $12,000 she had saved up in 2011. The multi-million dollar empire was also cherry-picked by 22-year-old Kylie for her 2019 Turks & Caicos vacation.
The popular swim line, now complete with a giant L.A. billboard, saw Draya mark its growth earlier this year, showing Instagram the structure and writing that she “officially owns the corner.” The merch seems to be shifting enough to fund more than just the ice-cream outings.
