Britney Spears really knows how to celebrate a Friday.
Spears, 38, shared a poolside video last night alongside longtime boyfriend, fitness trainer Sam Asghari. The pair were all smiles as the pop star shouted, “happy Friday everybody!”
“I hope everybody has a great Friday, and most of all, don’t forget to dance,” Asghari said, motioning to his multi-platinum girlfriend.
“Show ’em how to dance, babe.”
Asghari took over the camera, revealing Spears in a tiny, aqua blue bikini that almost matched the water itself.
Spears giddily bounced around the pool deck while listening to The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.” She eventually asked Asghari to “show ’em what [he] can do,”
to which he provided some sweaty pec flexes.
Spears’ stylish RayBan sunglasses were a nice distraction from the socks (and tennis shoes) she was wearing at the same time. She poked fun at her odd wardrobe in the caption:
“I know ….. high socks ? I’m a nerd when I’m having the most fun ???? !!!!!!! Happy Friday !!!!!!”
The “Mickey Mouse Club” alum has undoubtedly been having a lot of fun lately.
On Wednesday, Spears showed off her shapely physique in the photo seen above, writing, “Today I choose happiness ???☀️? !!!!”
Her toned tummy looks rather identical to the one she rocked on the skyrocket to fame 20 years ago.
Speaking of “20 years ago,” the star recently celebrated the two-decade anniversary of her career-defining album “Oops!…I Did It Again.” The album, her second, hit stores on May 16, 2000.
On the actual anniversary date last Saturday, Spears shared a video montage to Instagram as she reminisced in the caption.
“20 years since the Oops! ? album …. the anticipation and the butterflies ??? I felt before it came out were crazy …. all of my expectations were exceeded !!!! And it’s all thanks to you folks …. thank you for sticking with me and growing with me. I am one Lucky girl ⭐️?.”
The “Lucky” bit was a little nod to her fan-favorite song of the same title, which came as part of the “Oops!” album.
It seems Spears-related nostalgia was in the air this week.
On Tuesday, Rolling Stone published a list of “The 100 Greatest Debut Singles of All Time.” The mag’s May 19th roundup had Spears’ breakout hit “…Baby One More Time” landing in the #1 spot.
The song was described as “one of those pop manifestos that announces a new sound, a new era, a new century. But most of all, a new star.”
“In the great tradition of debut singles, it was a divisive statement that drew a line between past and future.”
