Demi Rose clocked herself over a quarter of a million likes in under five hours today, kicking the weekend off with a photo that’s testimony to her rising Instagram following. The British model and social media sensation now backed by 14 million fans on Instagram updated her account just in time for the weekend – while the chance to win $100 of merch came with a #ad netting the 25-year-old some cash, the post still came welcomed. Well, kind of.
Keep scrolling for the photo. Opting out of her signature bikini, the Birmingham, U.K. native had showcased her stunning curves in a simple t-shirt look with the ante upped as she went underwear-free down below. Demi had gone relatively girly in a white t-shirt with pink flame details – a pink scrunchie in the brunette’s hair added simple flourishes as she posed shot from behind with a cheeky booty-flash.
A caption shouted out “staying comfy” as it offered $100 worth of Quavo Huncho merch as part of a Boohoo partnership. The comments proved both positive and, clearly, less-so.
While Demi was called a “doll” and a “babe” amid a giant wave of gushing, a comment trolling the star whose eating disorder past saw her once weighing only 80 pounds came in.
“Quarantine is making you gain weight,” it read – and it didn’t go down well with Demi’s fans.
“Careful what do or say in other words don’t be nice or rude. Told you once and when you make it there with them hold in your cuz,” one user fired back. That said, a fair few users did seem to agree.
Demi has bravely opened up about her eating disorder past, posting side-by-side photos of herself at her lowest weight of just 80 pounds. Now recovered, Demi still maintains that she can pack on the pounds easily.
“My figure just gains weight so fast. Any bad thing I eat my body isn’t used to it and just puts on the weight. That means no birthday cake,” she told The Daily Mail in 2018, adding:
“All I’ve eaten today is nuts. I’ve managed to eat a whole pot. I feel guilty as there’s a lot of fat in the nuts. That’s my treat. So I’m happy.”
Demi has admitted that she’s “bored” amid COVID-19, but the bikini bombshell has kept her swimwear updates strong on her Instagram despite often needing to resort to throwbacks. Popular amid the pandemic have been themed captions, with Demi rocking thong suspender lingerie to say there was nothing to do but go “back and forth from the fridge.”
Demi’s career now includes her partner status with clothing empire Fashion Nova, although the star has released her own merch, with early responses to the announcement already seeing fans stock up their carts.
