Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark moved into a new home earlier this year but, as Beau revealed on the May 19 episode of "Vanderpump Rules," he didn't help out with the down payment on their $1.7 million pad in the Hollywood Hills.

According to a report from Bravo's Style & Living, Beau opened up about why he couldn't pitch in for the home equally on the show, explaining that while he does have a good job, the price of their home was far too lofty for him to handle.

"Stassi will definitely be putting down the down payment," he said of the podcast host prior to the January purchase of their first home. "I've been in my apartment with rent control for 15 years. She's a number one bestselling author. I have a great job, but I can definitely not put 25 percent down on a house right now."

Stassi began dating Beau in 2018 after splitting with ex-boyfriend Patrick Meagher, who fans saw briefly on the sixth season of "Vanderpump Rules."

After Stassi and Beau were seen touring a home that was listed for a whopping $2 million, Beau said in a cast confessional, "I have savings, just not that much yet."

Meanwhile, Stassi made it clear that she would not be following in the footsteps of her "Vanderpump Rules" co-stars, including Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Tom Schwartz, and Katie Maloney, all of whom purchased similar homes in Valley Village last year.

"I want something that has character and, like, Hollywood charm," she said.

"I'm not going to be the fourth person to buy a modern farmhouse in Valley Village," Stassi continued.

After a brief house hunt, Stassi and Beau, who got engaged last summer, settled on a $1.7 million Mediterranean-style home in the Hollywood Hills and in the months since, they have been sharing tons of photos and videos of the ongoing renovations at the property.

"We wanted an older home and we wanted to make it our own," Stassi said of her and Beau's plans for their new place.

According to Bravo's The Daily Dish, Stassi and Beau, who's Italy wedding is currently on hold, demolished the kitchen, added a library, built a garage gym, and replaced their stair railings. They've also added outdoor lighting to their patio and an "Outfit Of The Day" mirror to their "freakin' zen" master bedroom.

To see more of Stassi, Beau, and their co-stars, don't miss the "Secrets Revealed" episode for "Vanderpump Rules" season eight on Tuesday, May 26 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

The reunion will begin airing the following week.
