Michael Jordan‘s daughter Jasmine is likely getting Googled a lot right now. Michael, the 57-year-old NBA icon whose Chicago Bulls years were featured on the ESPN-aired “The Last Dance” documentary found his name – alongside players including Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen – trending on Twitter last night. An estimated 12.2 million Americans tuned in for the first eight episodes of the TV show – Jasmine’s Instagram is now filled with comments regarding her father, the first athlete billionaire whose net worth sits at $2.1 billion.
Jasmine is now getting her chance to shine.
Jasmine – who has 116,000 Instagram followers – updated her account over the weekend to reveal her magazine cover as she fronts Rolling Out. The feature comes alongside the 27-year-old speaking on “Good Morning America” and revealing that she had to Google the six-time NBA champion as a child.
The cover photo, which you can see below, showed the beauty flaunting her stunning, toned legs in a black zip minidress as she was snapped on a leafy street. A khaki satin bomber jacket and sneakers completed the urban look, with Jasmine also flashing her pearly whites.
“‘I had kids and teachers and stuff at school telling me “it’s incredible your father is who he is.” And I’m thinking you all haven’t met my father to my knowledge, how do you know this?” Jasmine said today, then revealing that she Googled MJ, with the former athlete finding it hilarious.
Jasmine’s career now sees her affiliated with the Nike brand that’s earned dad Michael an estimated $1.3 billion – his first ever Air Jordan sneakers just sold for a staggering $560,000 at auction.
“I always knew he was funny, but seeing him joke around with teammates was interesting. From a basketball standpoint, it has been great to see his competitive nature on the court,” Jasmine told Rolling Out, also revealing that her father’s competitive streak runs rife at home.
“I deal with his competitive nature at home. He wants to be the first to finish dinner, so it’s good to see that same drive when he was on the court,” she added.
Twitter trends were literally insane last night, with top spots taken by Chicago Bulls faces, plus model Carmen Electra for her “sex all over the Chicago Bulls court” reveal.
Jasmine, whose motherhood is also documented on her Instagram, liaises Nike with its famous athletes, ensuring that players receive “everything from footwear to apparel” – the brand’s spokespersons include basketball star LeBron James, 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams, and gymnast Simone Biles.
Following “The Last Dance,” Jasmine posted a throwback video of Michael: “1987 Slam Dunk Champion.” The brunette also has a few celebrity Instagram followers, with her account kept tabs on by “Power” actress La La Anthony, plus Magic Johnson’s daughter Elisa.
