Denise Richards looked back on the awkward moment in which she and her husband, Aaron Phypers attempted to explain what he does for a living to her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast mates while chatting with Entertainment Tonight last week.
During the interview, Denise, who was added to the Bravo reality series in 2018 for season nine, looked back on the awkward conversation before suggesting that her co-star, Kyle Richards, acted hypocritically during production on season 10 last year.
After the topic of Aaron’s Q360 “energy healing center” was brought up during the cast dinner, Denise and Aaron struggled to provide an easy-to-understand answer about what he does at the facility, which specializes in holistic medicine, to the cast. Instead, the couple seemed to further confuse the group.
“At that moment in the dinner, I knew — it’s always about, know your audience,” Denise said, explaining that her co-stars simply weren’t the type of people who were going to understand her husband’s career.
“While we were eating and at that dinner like, OK, this might not be the dinner for this. So, we’re gonna wrap up the conversation and call it a night,” Denise continued.
Although the cast of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” did seem to be genuinely curious about what Aaron did, his explanation went over their heads and they were equally confused after he and Denise claimed they were being followed due to his career in medicine.
In addition to her role on reality series, Denise is also starring on CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” but hasn’t been able to go to work in recent months due to the set being shut down due to California’s stay-at-home order.
“Are we gonna all have to wear masks in a love scene?” she wondered. “I don’t know! None of us do. I mean, that’s the thing with our industry, being actors in entertainment and doing what all of us do, it’s a big challenge for all of us, the close proximity with each other. So I’m not sure.”
Moving on, Denise suggested that during filming on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 10, she felt that Kyle was able to get away with things she couldn’t.
“If it airs the way it was shot, people will see why I would get up and leave the table,” she teased of her dinner party storm off.
Denise then noted that Kyle did the same thing at her party.
“No one seems to say anything about that — but we won’t talk about that,” she quipped.
To see more of Denise and her co-stars, don’t miss new episodes of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
