Lady Gaga gave off some serious weekend energy. The singer/actress, recently 34, took a break from her album promotion to share a selfie with a simple title: “Saturday.”
The Oscar/GRAMMY winner showed off her tatted left side as she rocked a crimped pink wig. Other than that and a tad of lipstick, her natural look remained ultra tame. She didn’t share if she was just returning from a workout, but her revealing white sports bra and tiny green shorts suggest something similar.
Naturally, her personal hairstylist and wig art designer Frederic Aspiras commented early on, writing, “????? Pretty in pink!”
Gaga’s fashion director Nicola Formichetti shared similar emoji sentiments: “☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️” This likely translates to a 5-stars rating.
“i just dropped my phone ?????,” said up-and-comer Noah Cyrus.
Former “Leave Britney Alone” campaigner Chris Crocker declared that “We love a vibe ?.”
“I WONDER IF THIS COULD BE LOVE,” one fan asked, the one below shouting “Yaaaaas queeen ??”
In essence, as one wrote: “Today we were blessed.”
A hot topic of Gaga’s feed lately, besides the “Chromatica” album itself, is her upcoming single drop. The collaboration with fellow pop phenomenon Ariana Grande is due this Friday (May 22nd) at midnight ET worldwide.
It was actually Grande who teased the track in March. She promptly deleted the post after the internet started speculating, but the “7 Rings” songstress was too late.
Granted, it was just a simple birthday greeting to Gaga. But it being attached to a photo of them in a very obvious recording studio was what set the people off.
“Happy birthday to a literal angel that has changed my life in many ways!” Grande posted on March 28th. “I’ll tell u more about it later but… u make my heart feel so full and happy and understood. Wishing u all the joy in the world today and every day! Have some pasta.”
Even Vogue UK caught wind of the soon-deleted selfie, headlining a next-day article: “Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande Are Up To Something.”
The Grande/Gaga collaboration was then confirmed in late April.
Gaga has undoubtedly seen a series of setbacks since the coronavirus crisis. On top of completely canceled shows and a quarantined birthday observance, her 6th studio album “Chromatica” could not be released as planned on April 10th.
She later announced that a new date had been set.
“The journey continues,” Gaga tweeted recently. “You can officially join me on #Chromatica on May 29. ⚔️?”
