Actor Dwayne Johnson just made one fan’s Thanksgiving all the more special!
Although today is Thanksgiving Day, The Rock played Santa Claus and wished one veteran a Merry Christmas with a surprise present at the screening of his film “Red Notice.”
The film, which is now available for streaming on Netflix, also stars “Deadpool” actor Ryan Reynolds and “Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot.
The comedy has impressed audiences and surprised many with its twist ending, but no one was more shocked than one veteran who received a priceless gift from Johnson during a special theater screening.

In an Instagram post, Johnson revealed that he invited fans to a special theater screening of “Red Notice,” which included “free everything.” In addition to free concessions, he also mentioned surprises from @projectrock, @teremana, @zoaenergy, and @saltandstraw ice cream.
He also wanted to do something for one fan in particular: veteran, personal trainer, and church leader Oscar Rodriguez.
“My original idea was to give away the Porsche Taycan, that I drive in the movie, Red Notice,” The Rock explained. “So we reached out to Porsche, but they said no.”
“But I still said, yes,” Johnson wrote alongside a winky-face emoji. “I’ll do one better. I’ll give away my personal custom truck as the gift. My baby.”
Out of all of the people in the audience, he chose Oscar because he takes care of his 75 year-old mom, provides support and meals for women victimized by domestic violence, and is a “proud & humble” Navy veteran.

The video begins with Oscar reading a card out loud, saying, “Thank you for your service brother, enjoy your new truck.”
The gesture moved the fan to tears. The video then cuts to earlier, inside the movie theater. The Rock invites Oscar down to the stage, where Oscar exclaims “Dude!” and gives Johnson an epic hug.
“Your story really moved me because I hear you’re a personal trainer, you’re always keeping it positive,” Johnson begins. “And motivational. And optimistic, and you’re a leader at your Church? Westside Church. You support and you help make meals for women victims who’ve been abused by domestic violence. That’s amazing work. I love that.”
“I’m just speechless,” Oscar says into the microphone. “I did not even know this was going to happen. This is such a blessing, man. It’s so good to meet you. I feel so encouraged right now, so uplifted. You, you’re the man, dude, and I appreciate… I follow you on Instagram. I listen to your words; I’m encouraged by your motivation. Obviously, you inspire so many people, you inspire me, and yeah, man, let’s do it. Let’s change the world one person at a time.”
“That is why I say kindness matters,” Johnson agrees. “It matters. Kindness matters.”
After he took Oscar outside to give him his personal truck, Oscar was reduced to tears as he gave Johnson another massive hug.
“You do a lot of good for people, man,” Johnson reminds him.
“I thought this was your truck, bro,” Oscar says through his tears.
“It is my truck, now it’s your truck,” Johnson says with a laugh.
Johnson capped off the caption by saying, “Oscar said it right, just before he drove away ~ it’s just love. That’s all it is, brother. Just love.”
