Chanel West Coast doesn’t do things for free. The 31-year-old rapper and “Ridiculousness” star is likely netting handsome profits from her Fashion Nova partner status – her Saturday Instagram update also proved a double-whammy on the promo front as she sneakily managed to whack in a mention of her newly-dropped “No Plans” track.
Chanel – who has gone fully topless “dodging corona” and had her “Corona Rap” go viral – was more about the snatched bikini body today. While a damning comment quickly came in, the “Sharon Stoned” rapper’s 3.4 million followers largely came with zero complaints.
It was ’50s, it was bombshell, and it was West Coast being the known chameleon that she is. Keep scrolling for the snap that showed the MTV face bronzing her killer bikini body in a cute, knotted, and yellow-and-white two-piece with summery polka dots. The star’s new blonde locks added pizzazz as did statement shades, with curled bangs, peachy lips, and droop earrings channeling the throwback vibe amid a poolside backdrop.
Keep scrolling for the literal chameleon that the LOL Cartel founder is. Today’s look clocked the “Black Roses” rapper over 28,000 likes in two hours – and West Coast complains when she doesn’t get enough of them.
A caption from Chanel shouted out the affordable clothing brand she fronts, plus her newly-dropped beats:
“#NoPlans just chillin by the pool ? Swimsuit @fashionnova
Swimsuit photos have been anything but straight-forward for Chanel of late. While today saw the star likened to iconic bombshell Marilyn Monroe and sent countless fire emoji, her late-April bikini photos turned ugly as fans accused her of having a “puffy” face that looked like it was “on steroids.” A fan asking: “What happened to your pretty face?” found themselves clapped back at, though –”Lmao nothing,” West Coast replied.
No #ad manifested today, but Instagram doesn’t seem to require it for partner statuses which are, by default, influencing and largely considered to come with a fee from the influencer. Vox‘s experts have thrown out estimated figures – pay on Instagram correlates with following.
“Influencers with up to 1 million followers can get $10,000 [per post], depending on the platform, and 1 million followers and up, you’re getting into territory where they can charge $100,000. Some can even get $250,000 for a post!”
Chanel has 3.4 million Instagram followers.
And that was just 2019. “Sharon Stoned” saw the rapper go dominatrix-style as she rocked straightened, peroxide blonde hair contrasting a black latex corset as while posing against a hot red backdrop. The switch was quick, though, as “Old Fashioned” brought redheaded cowgirl vibes complete with fringe. Meanwhile, “Anchors” saw the star go pin-up and brunette, with Chanel also known to have rocked icy-blue hair.
As to the star’s career, it’s branching out. Chanel just dropped her YouTube fitness channel. She juggles her music career and “Ridiculousness” appearances with her LOL Cartel clothing line.
