Looks like Kate Bosworth had some fun with the self-timer this weekend. The American actress, 37, shared an at-home photoshoot with Instagram on Friday. Opting for the casual vibe, she wore a crisp white wife-beater tank with a pair of tiny denim shorts.
Bosworth also shared what inspired the two-part photoset.
“First time I applied make up in AGES for a live chat w/ the make up queen herself ?? @ctilburymakeup … which naturally led to a photoshoot in the hallway, inspired by vintage CK ?.”
The first pic has the “Blue Crush” star arching her back, showing off a sun-kissed glow and a super stunning gaze.
Those lost in her eyes might notice a stark difference between them. While the left is ocean blue, the right is a creamy shade of hazel. Beautiful Bosworth was born with “Heterochromia,” a generally harmless condition which results in having multicolored eyes.
Fans seem to agree the condition is anything but a defect. One called Bosworth a “beautiful portrait as always ❤️,” another writing she was a “ray of sunshine ?.”
The second pic, a full-body shot, showed a confident Kate propping on the wall while crossing her lengthy legs. Meanwhile, her fingertips tucked into the top of her shorts drew attention to a seriously sculpted stomach.
“I’d like your abs please,” someone asked. Bosworth personally responded, giving credit to nutrition coach/personal trainer Steph Watson by tagging her.
Another asked, “Is it even possible for u to ever look bad? Doubt it! ?”
The top comment of “???❤️❤️❤️” started a trend, as many more short on words began dropping emojis instead.
Bosworth’s starring role in 2002’s “Blue Crush” is arguably what she’s best known for. While a guest on Sophia Bush’s “Work in Progress” podcast, the actress recently revealed that she almost didn’t get the part which would ultimately shape her entire career.
“Six months of living in LA, this script called ‘Blue Crush’ came to me and I had never touched a surfboard in my life, but I knew that girl through and through,” she recalled last month.
“I knew what it was like to love something so deeply and to want something so badly and to have the kind of grit and determination that this girl had and the vulnerability and the fear and the doubt and the self-doubt—all the things that I was experiencing in that moment was crossing over with this character.”
Bosworth ended up getting two callbacks after the audition, but was eventually cut because she didn’t know how to surf. In her words, “I just thought, ‘No, I won’t accept that.'”
The Teen Choice nominee began working with a surf instructor while the casting team moved on to seasoned surfers. She got another shot, but sadly Bosworth “just ate it so bad over and over and over and over for hours.”
“Just awful, just unsurfable, horrible mess I was,” she admitted. But it was the words of Bosworth’s surf coach to a producer that sealed the deal.
“The surf instructor looked at him and said, ‘I can guarantee you one thing, you will not meet someone more determined’…and that’s literally how I got that role.”
