Halle Berry‘s workout just burned her 250 calories in under 15 minutes. The 53-year-old Oscar winner who completed three years worth of martial arts training in only six months for her “John Wick: Parabellum” role put her muscle machine of a body back on Instagram on Friday – Halle regularly honors the platform’s #FitnessFriday, with the latest nod to it seeing the “Catwoman” actress partnering up with Women’s Health.
Photos showing the full extent of the actress’ workout are available here. You can keep scrolling for the Instagram-posted version.
Seen below, Halle’s snap came from the same shoot posted by Women’s Health. The Re-Spin founder whose new fitness brand is making waves had been photographed jumping rope in a power workout, seen simply dressed for her sweat session. Black spandex leggings and a matching tank paired with sneakers kept things low-frills as Halle was pictured mid-air – the star then spoke of the training to the magazine.
“If you challenge me with something, my ego and my pride kick in and I have. to. win. It’s not even a question; I get tunnel vision-level focus and I just do it.”
Halle had been challenged to give the workout a go by “spirit animal” personal trainer Peter Lee Thomas – Halle recently had to deny rumors she’s dating her fitness coach.
“Once I found my groove, I could do 100 skips without missing a beat. In all, it took me about 15 minutes to get to 1,500. (I burned 250-plus calories in the process, Peter estimated). By the end, my calves were on fire and my arms and legs burned like you wouldn’t believe,” she added.
Halle is now solidly topping the list of age-defying celebrities that also includes the likes of 51-year-old “Friends” alum Jennifer Aniston and superstar singer Jennifer Lopez, 50. Halle is Type 1 diabetic, having recently revealed a clean eating regimen that she’s been following for 15 years.
“I wanted to get off of insulin, so I decided to say goodbye to processed carbs and sugar like baked goods and white bread—and it has seriously paid off,” she said earlier this month.
Halle’s COVID-19 headlines have been packed. The star going nude for her backyard Pillow Challenge proved a hit as she wore a black satin pillow as a dress, with lock-down also seeing Halle seemingly asleep in her bed and wearing underpants bearing “The Ellen Show” logo – Halle was “waiting on my next nothing appointment.”
Less easy-going has been the slamming of 6-year-old son Maceo clambering around in heels. Trolls questioning the gender-appropriateness of a boy in women’s shoes found themselves promptly clapped back at by the actress.
