Cher & Gregg Allman's Son Elijah Blue Files For Divorce From His Wife

Singer Cher and famous ex-husband Gregg Allman's son -- Elijah Blue -- has filed for divorce from his wife of six years, Marieangela King.

Elijah Blue Allman filed the legal documents in L.A. County Court, which was first reported by The Sound Beat, on the day before Thanksgiving. According to the filing, Elijah split from his wife, on April 20, 2020, after 6 years and 5 months of marriage. The famous offspring shares no minor children with his ex-wife.

In the documents, Elijah Blue cites "irreconcilable differences" for the reason behind the break-up.

On the topic of spousal support, Allman says he is "reserving for determination the issue of support payable," to his ex-wife. In other words, it's unclear if the couple had a prenuptial agreement before they were married. If so, the amount would be determined based on the agreed-upon arrangement.

In the end, he is also asking for the court to have each side pay their own attorney's fees.

The musician spoke about meeting his wife, while in Germany treating a "near-fatal" case of Lyme Disease. The musician traveled abroad to get special doctors to treat illness. Allman opened up about the situation to Entertainment Tonight, saying the experience was "so much darker" than even his previous Heriorn addiction.

Back in 2014, Elijah Blue claims he met his wife while in Germany, who was part of a pop music group called 'King' that included four of her siblings. Obviously, the group got immensely more popular after she married Cher's son. At the time, the couple was engaged and married in just one week -- which infuriated the famous singer.

As for growing up in a famous household, Elijah told the outlet, "It wasn't like a sex drugs and rock and roll household, but you know there were a lot of big parties and there was an era for that. I mean like when I was a little kid like in the 80s there was a lot of that, you know. I mean I remember Andy Warhol coming over to the house and things like that, I didn't appreciate what that was at that time."

Elijah also grew close to his stepbrother -- Chaz Bono -- for a bit of time, only to grow apart as the years went on. "We were close. I think what happened was Chaz went off to a performing arts school back east and I went off back east as well, later to prep school, and so from there we kind of took different paths. But for a minute growing up we were kind of close, yeah... we kind of grew apart when we started going to different schools and just not being geographically around each other," he told ET.

At this point, Marieangela hasn't responded to the divorce, and it's unclear if the couple will split their financial assets.
