Tom Brady's time as an athlete may be heading towards its final chapter as the athlete recently opened up about retirement.
After years of retaining his spot in NFL history with record-breaking achievements on the field, the 44-year-old is looking forward to saying goodbye to the game.
The father-of-three got candid about hanging his boots up in a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey on his SiriusXM podcast, "Let's Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray."
Tom Brady Wants To Spend Quality Time With His Family
The holidays have always been a special occasion to spend with the family, and the Tampa Buccaneers quarterback feels the same way.
Brady confessed that being an NFL star meant he barely had time to enjoy Thanksgiving or Christmas with his loved ones due to his hectic training schedule.

Therefore, the Super Bowl MVP couldn't wait to retire so he could commemorate the holidays with his beautiful wife and children. In the athlete's words:
"I'm looking forward to the time when I'm done playing football so that I can have some of those more normal holidays that I had growing up, that were important where the family's all together."
Nonetheless, the "Tom vs. Time" star's routines were far from what most people would consider being normal. As a health-conscious fanatic, the father-of-three had a unique diet plan.
The quarterback and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, have previously discussed their food choices, which typically included organic items like vegetables and whole grains without gluten, flour, or white sugar.
However, the "Kiss the Ground" star revealed to Winfrey that Thanksgiving was the only meal the couple's dietary restrictions didn't apply.
The NFL Star Wants To Play Until He Is 50
In September, The Blast shared the shocking bombshell Brady dropped during an episode of his mini YouTube series "Tommy and Gronky."
The seven-time Super Bowl champion confessed that he would love to keep playing until he turned 50. This extraordinary feat would make the athlete the oldest player in NFL history, but there was a catch.
Gronk, the quarterback's co-star, asked the father-of-three a crucial question; would his wife allow him to achieve this goal? Once the 44-year-old recalled his ties to the model, the narrative changed.
The Five-time ESPY Award winner laughed off his confession as a joke and apologized to Bündchen. He said:
"I'm just kidding. I'm sorry baby, I love you. You would let me. You would let me do anything as long as I'm happy."
The Tampa Buccaneers player may be a star on the field, but it appears someone else was in charge at home. Surprisingly, the adorable couple almost didn't achieve their happily-ever-after.
Last year, The Blast discussed the couple's relationship timeline, including when the "Taxi" actress nearly called off their romance.
This incident occurred during the start of the lovebirds' relationship. Everything was going smoothly between the pair until news of Brady's ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan's pregnancy surfaced.
At the time, the "Gisele & the Green Team" star was torn between leaving or staying in the relationship. Fortunately, the couple survived the ordeal, and they got married in 2009.
