Cardi B has been one of the biggest artists in the game since the release of her 2017 breakout single, "Bodak Yellow." This came after she was already a fan-favorite on 'Love and Hip-Hop: New York.' Cardi carried her momentum into 2018 in a major way with the release of her debut album, 'Invasion of Privacy.' This w as led by other hit singles such as "I Like It" featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny and "Ring" feat. Kehlani. The album has since been certified 3x platinum.

Cardi was relatively quiet in 2019 but still had success with hit singles such as "Press" and "Please Me" feat. Bruno Mars. Many expect that she will release her sophomore album sometime this year.

During Cardi B's epic 2017, fans almost received a collaboration with Beyoncé' as well. Michael Ashby, one of Cardi's engineers at the time, made an Instagram post in October of that year with the caption "Cardi B & Beyonce,” per Billboard. He also said "Wow this feature is big."

This also came after Cardi and Bey met at the Made In America festival that September. Miss Tina Lawson, Bey's mother, also showed Cardi love. When the song leaked though, Cardi went on to say that she doesn't know Ashby. The title of the song was reportedly "Wet."

J White Did It is one of the hottest producers in the game and has worked on Cardi's biggest records such as I Like It and Bodak Yellow. He recently spoke on this collab with Bey never being released.

“I was just as giddy as everybody else. I was sitting there just waiting, looking on the internet then it leaked,” said White. “Bro, three years ago I had a Beyoncé play with Cardi and that kinda went sour because it went viral that they was doing a song together and that cut out.”

“And this time the song leaked before the song came out… But listen, that song came out when I say I sat like this, for like, ten minutes.”

Luckily for White though, he ended getting another Beyoncé that was actually released. This is Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage" remix that featured Bey on it a few weeks ago. It was competing with Doja Cat's "Say So" remix feat. Nicki Minaj for the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It fell short though as it debuted at No. 2 but nonetheless, it's still been one of the biggest records of 2020. Hopefully, he can get a Cardi and Beyoncé collab to finally be released this year as well.
