Sophie Turner Is A Natural Comedian In New Netflix Special

Sophie Turner is proving to be a Jackie of all trades! The actress recently roasted her husband in Netflix’s sneak peek of the newly-premiered roast-style comedy special featuring Joe and his brothers Nick and Kevin. Spoiler alert! She’s hilarious.

The former Game of Thrones actress didn’t hold back when she took the stage to call out her husband for being a bit of a playboy back in the day. “Look, Joe wasn’t just sticking his fingers in some dumb metal rings. He was sticking his fingers in co-stars, actresses, and even a supermodel or two,” she joked.

The 25-year-old even made a joke about her baby daddy “burnin’ up”; an odd sexual accusation and a clever pun on one of the brother’s songs before their breakup to make up. Don’t worry, Joe laughed and cheered his wife on as the audience laughed at his expense.

While this was only a clip, it revealed the tone that fans would hopefully be in for. A roast is not for the faint of heart, so Turner’s jokes were right on point. However, her sisters-in-law Danielle Jonas, Kevin’s wife, and actress Priyanka Chopra Nick’s wife, were noticeably shocked.

Both women were caught with their mouths open gasping at the joke told by their rebel sis by marriage. They were clearly amused though. The fiery redhead went even harder, bringing up an awkward phase we would all love to forget.

Remember those purity rings the JoBros went around wearing for most of their teenage years and some of their twenties? Yea, Turner didn’t believe in the power of them either. “No, the rings weren’t a good idea,” noted Turner.

The cringe-y moment was a defining factor for the brothers. The actress pointed out that as much as they thought they were fooling anyone, those rings allegedly stopped meaning something long before the boys admitted it.

“Yes, as a gesture they’re laughably, toe-curlingly lame,” she joked. “But remember, this was about more than a gesture. This was about faith. This was about principle. This was about taking a stand and setting an example.” Unfortunately, she couldn’t get it out without laughing.

The special premiered on Netflix On Nov 23 and is hosted by Saturday Night Live alum Kenan Thompson. Don’t worry, you won’t be forced to watch amateur comedians all night, the show also features professional comedians like Pete Davidson, Lily Singh, Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, and Jack Whitehall.

There are also musical performances from the Jonas brothers, Niall Horan, and John Legend. Netflix describes the event as "a one-of-a-kind comedy special of epic proportions”. Boasting that it’s an event like nothing before.

“The Jonas Brothers like you've never seen them before through sketches, songs, games, and special guests all to give them a roasting they'll never forget.” It is still unclear why the streaming giants seem to be celebrating the brothers with a roast, but the jaw-dropping jokes are streaming now.
