Celebrities are known for having some weird and unique baby names. While most of society worries about how their children will be judged, celebrities have put in so much work making a name for themselves that choosing a name that we may see as strange or outlandish is another luxury that they have afforded for themselves.

As Vogue magazine has detailed, there are over fifty unconventional celebrity baby names from Jason Lee and Beth Riesgraf's son Pilot Inspektor to Diplo and Kathryn Lockhart's son Lazer Lee Louis Pentz.

While most of these baby names push the envelope of what we call normalcy, a few have become a public obsession and one that most will never forget is Apple Martin; the daughter of beloved actress turned entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Now fifteen-years-old, Apple Martin is starting to do normal teenage things like getting her first job at a clothing store. However, with an Oscar-winning mom and Grammy-winning dad, her TikTok profile is one of the many second-generation celebrity child profiles gaining some traction.

According To Gwyneth "Apple" Is A Biblical Name

While Apple may not seem like your typical "Christian" name, Paltrow has revealed that she choose the name for a very powerful reason. "When we were first pregnant, her daddy said, 'If it's a girl I think her name should be Apple,'" Gwyneth said during a 2004 "Oprah Show" interview. "It sounded so sweet, and it conjured such a lovely picture for me, you know. Apples are so sweet and they're wholesome, and it's biblical." Fittingly, the "Iron Man" actress also named her son Moses.

Now, a decade and a half after the birth of Apple Martin, a new baby name has grabbed the public attention with the birth of Elon Musk's baby with singer Grimes. With an announcement on Twitter, they revealed their new baby boy “X Æ A-12 Musk”, inspired by the name of Grimes’ album "4ÆM."

In a recent interview with Joe Rogan, Musk explained how to pronounce the baby's name. “I mean it’s just X, the letter X. And then, the Æ is, like, pronounced ‘Ash’… and then, A-12, A-12 is my contribution.”

If you are still confused about the origins of the name, Grimes took to social media with an explanation in length. "X, the unknown variable," she wrote on social media. "Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) A-12 = precursor to SR-71 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent. A=Archangel, my favorite song."

While the name is still a misnomer to the word, Paltrow simply tweeted "#chrismartin, I think we got beat for most controversial baby name" after the grand reveal.
