Today, YouTubers hold a certain role in society. They are down-to-earth and yet also hold some form of authority in a subject area. They vlog daily, make beauty tutorials, and sometimes even show off other unique talents.
Marina Joyce is a notable beauty and fashion YouTuber with millions of subscribers. She has curated a sizable and dedicated fan base consisting of people who began to take note of Joyce’s every move.
Some subscribers began noticing that something was not quite right about her videos, and there were even allegations that she had gone missing for at least nine days before she reappeared. So, what really happened?
Joyce’s fans had been concerned about the content creator for a while. According to her viewers, Joyce experienced a shift in personality from upbeat to more distracted. Throughout her videos, she could be seen staring and pausing much more often. Her viewers also felt like she seemed scared or in trouble.
Weeks after people noticed strange things in Joyce’s videos, including a gun in the background of one, people became more concerned when they noted that Joyce had bruises on her arms. They also noted that her eyes were not blinking often and that a finger popped up from the side to direct Joyce where to go. Some even swore they heard her whisper, “Help me.”
After people believed that Joyce had gone missing, her fans began to compile a variety of their concerns online. They also used the hashtag #SaveMarinaJoyce to discuss the matter online, eventually making the topic trend on websites like Twitter.
In an effort to combat the worry of her fans, Joyce arranged a meetup with fans. She wanted to show them she was safe, but some people began to believe it was a setup, perhaps a trap for her concerned viewers. Ultimately, most seemingly forgot about the matter.
In 2019, controversy rose again when Joyce allegedly went missing for 10 days.
When she apparently went missing, Joyce’s boyfriend, Brandon Mehmed, tweeted reassurances. He claimed that professionals were handling the matter and that she was safe. He also disputed claims that he was acting suspiciously.
Then, Joyce appeared on Twitter to claim that she had never actually be missing. While police and other organizations claimed that she had indeed been missing, Joyce wrote on social media that she was safe. She also claimed that Mehmed was protecting her and taking care of her.
I never went missing in the first place. Also, Brandon has been so loyal throughout all this so dont trust anybody but him when somebody says something because hes the one who knows everything and is my closest, and protects me more than any other person out there

Of course, there are many fans who are never going to stop being concerned about Joyce. There are many viewers and followers who believe that her boyfriend may not be as genuine as he appears.
People viewing from the outside may never be able to understand exactly what happened to Joyce, especially as she claims that she is safe and not in a toxic relationship. In the meantime, it would appear that Joyce simply wants her fans to accept her videos at face value.
