Justin Bieber is opening up about struggles with anxiety and is using a passage in the Bible to explain his position on the ongoing personal battle.
The 'Yummy' singer shared a lengthy message on Instagram describing how many of us are "caught up in the fear of the future" and "riddled with anxiety." To explain his situation, JB asks fans to "look at the birds in the sky" and how they seemingly fly through air perfectly like they were created to do -- and don't worry about being exactly what there are. It's an interesting thought...
Bieber Opens Up
"Look at the birds in the sky, they don't have to try and be birds they glide through the air as they were designed to do. Why are we out here trying so hard," the singer wrote.
Justin continued, "Can't we be like the birds, organic and authentic? We are so caught up in the feat of the future that we are riddled with anxiety. The birds seem to know who's in control but do we?"
In the end, Beiber reminds his millions of followers that he has trust in God -- and it gets him through the anxiety. "I trust the designer of the universe, his name is Jesus," he concluded.
Bieber captioned the message, "You are loved by the designer, author, creator. You are forgiven by the only man who has ever predicted his death burial and resurrection. Jesus. He is the lover of your soul, the only perfect one." Turns out, the message is similar to a passage in the Bible in the book of Matthew.
Justin's Mental Health Struggles
The pop star has been very open about his struggles with mental health. In the past, the singer has even offered up advice on how to get through an anxiety attack. Justin posted a meme with this helpful bit of information, called 'Tips To Help With An Anxiety Attack. "Look around you. Find five things you can see, f0ur things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. This is called grounding. It can help when you feel like you have lost all control of your surroundings," it read.
If you suffer from anxiety, this is really good advice. "Being human is challenging for everybody. We're all struggling to some degree," Justin said in his YouTube documentary. Adding, "We all have our individual pains, and fears and anxieties, worries… My life is changing a lot. Getting married. Getting back to the studio. Talking about getting married and the process and just being creative in this new chapter. Being happy about what I'm doing. Being in a good headspace. A better headspace."
Suffering From Anxiety
"There was a six-month period that was really tough for him, really dark," the co-founder of Justin's clothing company -- Drew House -- said about the situation. The great news is that Justin Bieber has over 205 MILLION Instagram followers, and can help people suffering from the disorder by sharing messages like this one.
Earlier today, it was announced Justin has been nominated for 8 Grammy Awards. Fans are flooding his social media to congratulate him on the achievement. "Congrats on your Grammy nominations! You deserve it," one person wrote. Several other simply posted heart and fire emojis in the comment section.
