Draya Michele straight-up admitted that Cinco de Mayo was “gonna be weird” without a beer as she led into what’s been going on between her sheets amid lock-down. The 35-year-old reality star and Mint Swim founder updated her Instagram stories from her quarantine on Tuesday – Draya’s videos came straight from her bed as she snacked on melon, with the “Basketball Wives LA” alum speaking honestly and openly about reaching 44 days without alcohol – and some more intimate stuff.
If you don’t live inside Draya’s Instagram, COVID-19 has been packing a punch for the swimwear designer. Stripping down to a string bikini to write: “I like ’em 6ft away” proved a hit at the end of April. May is seeing Draya keep up the skimpy social media appearances.
Draya’s stories showed her solo, 100% makeup free, and in bed. A post-shower look from a skimpy white towel wrapped around the star’s chest kept things low-key, with Draya previewing her snack as her 8 million followers saw a bowl of nicely cut-up canteloupe and honeydew melon.
“Happy Cinco de Mayo everybody. It’s gonna be weird having dinner tonight and not having a beer, but….you know,” Draya said.
“I’ve forgotten how many days it’s been,” she continued, then exiting her story and returning for another: “44 days. And I know you guys wanted an update.” For Draya, total sobriety had cleared up her skin – and more.
Draya confessed that she typically gets “hormonal breakouts when it’s that time of the month” – the ex to Orlando Scandrick then said it had “passed…and nothing.”
“Also could be because my hormones are not raging,” Draya added, then rolling her eyes and looking a touch uncomfortable regarding the way to phrase how lock-down meant she “wasn’t doing…things to rage my hormones.”
The stories come amid ex-fiance and former NFL face Orlando Scandrick revealing that he will always have love for Draya. Keep scrolling for the apple bottom jeans that had Instagram calling Draya “a whole snack.”
May 3 saw The Blast report Orlando posting a hot shirtless photo on Instagram complete with a caption from Drake’s “Desires” track. Fan comments quickly came in, with a user shouting out Draya as they wrote:
“It’s obvious you miss her.”
Orlando – who shares a child with Draya – replied:
“That’s my son mom I’ll always have love for her she gave me my only son!!!!”
Less flattering was the March headline-making that saw Orlando claim he didn’t know who Draya was.
Draya continues to promote her 2011-founded Mint Swim brand – no small-time deal, the company founded with the $12,000 Draya saved up grew to be valued at $1 million in 2017. Mint Swim’s famous customers include 27-year-old singer Selena Gomez and billionaire Kylie Jenner – Mint Swim received its highest exposure to date in 2019 as the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star featured it during her Turks & Caicos vacation.
Draya’s brand has also reached out amid the pandemic by donating Chipotle burritos to L.A. healthcare workers via a Doordash partnership. For Draya’s male fans, though, it’s likely still all about that killer bikini body.
