Earlier this month, star 22-year-old NFL Wide Receiver, Henry Ruggs, made a decision that ultimately ended his football career. He was driving impaired in Las Vegas, after a night out at Top Golf, and ended up crashing into another vehicle at 156 mph.
Ruggs' Corvette collided into 23-year-old Tina Tintor's Toyota RAV4, as it quickly burst into flames. Tintor was trapped inside the vehicle, which resulted in her death, as well as her dogs. Ruggs went on to be released from the Las Vegas Raiders. Ruggs had a BAC of .161, which is twice the legal limit, in Nevada.
Ruggs Ordered To Undergo 24/7 Alcohol Monitoring
Ruggs reportedly recently missed an ordered breath test, which resulted in a judge ordering that the NFL star undergo 24/7 alcohol monitoring, on Monday, per TMZ. Ruggs was seen in court, wearing a black shirt, black pants and black bowtie.

This came over two weeks at Ruggs' court hearing, on November 3. At that time, Ruggs was able to post bond, and released from police custody. The injuries that he sustained from the crash were visible as well, as he sported a neck brace. That was not the case though, for his November 22 appearance.
Prior to this court appearance, Ruggs had been required to undergo alcohol testing "multiple times," a day. Now, it appears that this amount will be much more frequent.
Ruggs Is Not Returning To Prison
Despite Ruggs missing this drug test, he will not be required to go back in prison. Instead, the 24/7 alcohol monitoring, is the alternative. In addition to the monitoring, he has been ordered to wear an ankle device, which will measure alcohol levels in his body, through his skin. Prior to this device, another one had been used, via a handheld method.
Ruggs Faces Over 50 Years In Prison
Four felonies are on the table for Ruggs, as well as one misdemeanor. As a result, the former Raiders star faces over 50 years, in prison. That was revealed during a November 10 hearing. The prison length is something that many would welcome, considering how Ruggs took multiple lives, and also had the potential to injure other people.
Ruggs Was In The Middle Of Second NFL Season
Prior to this legal case, Ruggs was playing in his second season in the NFL, all with the Raiders. He was initially drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, with the 12th overall pick. Up until Ruggs' release, he totaled 24 catches, for 469 yards and two touchdowns, for the 2021 season.
Since Ruggs' deadly crash, the Raiders have also seen very bad luck. They've lost three games in a row, and currently stand at a 5-5 record. The team has been met with plenty of controversy this season, as they fired Head Coach Jon Gruden, due to old emails that contained racist and homophobic content. Las Vegas also released Defensive Back, Damon Arnette, on November 8, after making threats in videos, with a firearm.
