"Alaskan Bush People" star Bear Brown is howling from the top of a mountain after he got the long-awaited DNA results following the birth of his son, River. The reality star took to Instagram this weekend after learning the results of the test, which had been filed so that Bear could officially claim paternity of his newborn son and begin some sort of custody/visitation process now that he's split with Raiven Adams.

"Hey everybody, I've got some awesome news I'd love to share with you all!" Bear began his windy message to fans.

The "Alaskan Bush People" star was elated to deliver the news, as he is still yet to officially meet his little bundle of joy.

"It is 100% official River is my son, I got the results today. It is awesome news, there was never any doubt but in order for me to get equal rights to parent, that is one thing I had to prove, that I am actually his dad."

Bear was so excited about the DNA results, that he had to give a howl atop the mountain, which could be heard echoing for miles around him:

"I am River's dad and that is awesome news, I gotta give a howl!"

He Hasn't Met River

Although Bear is busy filing paperwork, he has still to meet face to face with River since the baby was born back in March. River Anthony was born premature and spent many weeks in an Alaskan NICU. Raiven stayed by his side and ended up living at the hospital at the time, as the medical staff did not want her coming and going with the coronavirus pandemic on the horizon.

During the same time, Raiven and Bear were filing dueling legal paperwork against each other and working out a now-dismissed restraining order.

Wasn't Told About the Birth

The paternity paperwork filing by Bear was followed by the reality star claiming he was not initially told when River was born.

"There is something I would like to say! 1 It was two days after River was born before anyone told me!" Bear revealed during an emotionally-charged rant back in March.

Bear made it clear he wanted to be involved in Rivers' life, and felt the only way to make it happen would be to go the legal route, which began with proving that he was indeed the biological father. Now that he's proven the DNA, Bear and Raiven will begin negotiations on a custody order, which will include visitation schedules and child support obligations.
