Draya Michele 100% knows how to throw a party on Instagram. The 35-year-old reality star and Mint Swim founder – whose account has been knocking the ball out the park amid COVID-19 –posted a new photo on Thursday. The “Basketball Wives LA” alum’s post appeared to be a throwback from her January birthday shoot. The hot snap definitely gave Draya’s 8 million followers a lot to look at. In signature Draya style, it also came captioned with the razor-sharp wit that recently saw the star stripping down to a bikini as she wrote: “I like ’em 6ft away.”
Seen below, Draya’s photo showed her knocking the camera dead as she flaunted her killer curves on a pristine cream couch as she held a bunch of clear white balloons. The ex to Orlando Scandrick had gone sexy with her legs slightly spread as she posed in Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty lingerie – Draya has an ambassador status with the best-selling line. The vibe was girly via polka-dot white fabrics, but it was likewise upping the ante as the brunette flashed some skin via sheer fabrics.
Hoop earrings, hair clips amid curled hair worn down, plus Draya’s piercing gaze finished the sizzling snap: “I’m gonna eat cake for breakfast,” Draya wrote.
Instagram was absolutely loving it. Draya brought in a mega response, even getting a comment from 38-year-old pop star and Netflix face Christina Milian – “And it’s not even my birthday, thank you,” Christina wrote.
“Damn” was another comment, with Draya also bringing in the cheeky responses –”I want you for breakfast,” one fan wrote, with another telling Draya: “U da only cake I’ll eat.” Alongside Christina Milian’s comment and like, another celebrity one came in – 23-year-old model and girlfriend to rapper Future, Lori Harvey left Draya the thumbs-up.
Draya’s Instagram has been actively promoting her 2011-founded Mint Swim brand – started with the $12,000 Draya saved up, it grew to be valued at $1 million in 2017, with 2019 seeing billionaire Kylie Jenner cherry-pick Mint Swim to feature during her Turks & Caicos vacation. While Mint Swim has been in the news for donating Chipotle burritos to L.A. hospital workers amid the global pandemic, it’s still a business – and it comes with a dedicated brand ambassador. Draya rocked her merch in string bikini mode recently as she eyed up 80-degree weather in Los Angeles.
Draya has opened up on her “Basketball Wives LA” stardom. February 2020 saw the Fashion Nova partner say:
“I think that over the years, reality television has grown so much—the audience and reach that it has—and when you get to African American shows like the one I was on, there are stereotypes that come with it, and there are people who are not familiar with the black culture that will watch the show and believe that this is what women of color represent, and it’s not the case. I didn’t want to take part in that anymore, because I know as a black woman, we are so much more than that, and there aren’t enough shows that highlight our multitudes.”
