New details have emerged in the Waukesha parade tragedy.

At least five people have been declared dead.

Forty people were injured at the city’s annual Christmas parade.

A red SUV plowed through the parade, to the horror of onlookers.

Police Chief Dan Thomspon revealed that the driver was Darrell Brooks Jr.

Brooks, 39, was fleeing a “domestic disturbance with a report of a knife.”

He plowed through the parade barricades, although he was not being pursued by police at that time.

Brooks has been charged with five counts of intentional homicide.

More than six children are still in critical condition as of Monday afternoon.
