Tamra Judge was a mainstay of ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ for 12 seaons of the hit show’s run. However, it was announced going into Season 15 that Judge would no longer be taking part in the program after denying a “friend role” that producers had offered her. At the same time of her departure, show mainstay Vicki Gunvalson also announced she would be leaving, meaning that only Shannon Beador would remain of the original three. Since then, Beador and Judge’s friendship has deteriorated to the point of constant insults.
After the two’s departure, Beador quickly got close to her former rival, Kelly Dodd, which caused a rift in her and Judge’s friendship, causing the latter to unfollow her on Instagram, an indicator of their relationship dissolving.
Judge then posted a moving quote to Instagram that was interpreted by her fans as a subtle diss towards Beador following her new friendship with Dodd, saying, “Fake friends are like shadows. They follow you in the sun but leave you in the dark.”
Now, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Judge explained her friendship with Beador and reveals how the latter flipped on her during the rocky stage in their friendship.
She was always the one telling me last year, ‘Don’t hang out with Kelly, don’t hang out with Kelly, don’t hang out with Kelly,’ you know? And then, all of a sudden, it’s like, she’s not returning my phone call,” Judge candidly told the outlet about how Beador changed her relationship with the former reality star after her departure.
“Before we talked every single day, multiple times a day. So now, it’s just, you know… I had texted her, I called her. Nothing, no response. And it just hurt my feelings, that’s it,” she explained to ‘Entertainment Tonight.’
“As soon as we’re not on the show anymore, she just doesn’t have any time for us anymore and it really just kind of hurts my feelings,” Judge went on to mention.
“I felt like on the show, off the show, whatever, she was my friend, you know? I helped her through this divorce, I spent hours in the middle of the night answering phone calls.”
Beador apparently reached out to Judge through a phone call and the duo had a heart to heart conversation, but then have not spoken since.
Regardless of this, Judge says that despite being hurt by Beador’s actions in the short term, she reserves hope for the prospect that they may be able to repair their relationship sometime in the future, “I love her to death,” she said. “I love her like a sister. You know, we’ve gone through ups and downs before.”
