Britney Spears is on fire … both figuratively and literally, because the pop star revealed that she accidentally set her home gym ablaze.
The “Womanizer” star made the revelation during her afternoon flood of videos, and filmed herself back in the gym after the cleanup and renovation.
“H guys I’m in my gym right now I haven’t been in here for six months because I burned my gym down, unfortunately,” Spears told fans.
She explained, “I had two candles and one thing led to another … and I burned it down.”
Spears described the details of what happened in her Instagram caption and emphasized that the entire situation was a horrible accident.
It was an accident ….but yes …. I burnt it down ?. I walked past the door to the gym and flames ???? BOOM !!!!!! By the Grace of God the alarm ? went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt.”
It’s unclear how big the flames got, or if the fire department was called, but the situation sounded very serious.
Spears’ gym did not show signs of a massive fire, but the songstress explained that she only has two pieces of equipment left after the blaze tore through her precious workout studio.
“Unfortunately now I have only two pieces of equipment left lol and a one-sided mirror gym ??? !!!!! But it could be much worse so I’m grateful. Pssss I like working out better outside anyways ????? !!!!”
It’s interesting to note that Spears has been showing off many of her outdoor workouts lately, but until now it was just chalked up to her wanting to enjoy the great outdoors. She’s also spent a considerable amount of time showing off workouts from inside her living room.
Accidents happen, but unfortunately for Britney Spears she is under a very strict conservatorship, so everything she does is taken into account on another level. It’s interesting that the news of her setting the gym on fire wasn’t revealed earlier, as she is in the middle of an ongoing battle with the conservatorship and its advisors. As we reported, the case was recently put on ice during the global pandemic of COVID-19, but scheduled another hearing for later this year.
It’s unclear if the gym fire incident will be brought up in court, but don’t be surprised if it’s used as a tactic to keep the troubled pop star under lock and key.
