Halle Berry knocked the ball out the park in her Friday Instagram update. The 53-year-old Oscar winner who completed three years worth of martial arts training in just six months for her “John Wick: Parabellum” role put her MMA-trained body back on the ‘Gram for #FitnessFriday – the “Catwoman” star is one of the celebrity world’s most loyal honorers of the weekly hashtag.
If you don’t live inside Halle’s Instagram, this muscle machine’s workouts are unreal. Her recent Women’s Health reveal came with an admission of four hours per day of martial arts training for upcoming MMA movie “Bruised.”
Keep scrolling for the snap. It showed the Hollywood heavyweight shot indoors and looking both fierce and relaxed as she smiled with her eyes closed. Halle was flaunting her killer body in a gray speck tank, also rocking a skin-tight black pair of biker shorts with ripped panels flashing some skin. A chunky pair of boxing gloves completed the sporty look as Halle showed off her pearly whites with that winner smile – the image currently sits at over 100,000 likes.
Halle announced that she’d be targeting ab talk for Fitness Friday, also shouting out Women’s Health Mag, plus personal trainer and “spirit animal” Peter Lee Thomas, alongside her new Re-Spin fitness brand.
Halle’s 6 million Instagram followers also include a fair few celebrities. “Friends” alum Jennifer Aniston left Halle a like, with over 1,100 fans taking to the comments section.
Actress Tataji P. Henson was quick to comment: “I need to get my ENTIRE life together,” she wrote.
“You’re a good lady. So good,” Halle replied.
“My God, you are so beautiful,” one fan wrote, with another telling the star that her “opponent” should have God throwing “mercy on them” – Halle recently shut down Instagram with her nude Pillow Challenge.
“Last fall, when I was preparing for my film #BruisedTheMovie, I set the goal to build really visible, muscular abs. I had to look (and perform) like a professional MMA fighter, so, in addition to practicing MMA for four hours every day, I was also doing about 45 minutes of general strength training and 15 minutes of work just on my abs. We threw the kitchen sink at my core and, let me tell you, it took serious dedication.”
Halle has been making headlines amid COVID-19. Earlier this month, the actress shared rare footage of 6-year-old son Maceo clambering around in high heels, with the video turning into a storm as a troll queried the gender-appropriateness of a boy wearing women’s shoes.
“I hope that’s the daughter,” the user wrote, with Halle clapping right back.
“Well it’s a he and he is having a ball,” she fired back. “Tryna cope the best he can. Laughter helps a lot right now! It’s tight on these kids right now. Let’s have a laugh and some compassion.”
