"Dancing With The Stars" judge Derek Hough is taking a break from the show after he tested positive for coronavirus, even though he had been vaccinated.

When a spokesperson for DWTS was asked how long Hough would be out of sit, no definite answer was given.

The previous month, Hough was also involved in a COVID-19 scare. After what host Banks described as "possible COVID exposure," he was sidelined for "Britney Night."

The series has not clearly stated how this will affect Hough's participation in the last show of the 30th season.

Even if Hough does not appear, the participants will be judged by the show's other three judges.

As a result of the COVID scare and Breakthrough cases, stricter protocols were implemented on the DWTS show.

The pros felt more limited than the celebrity, as they were not permitted to see their [romantic] partners other than on show day, as against the celebrity pairs.

Despite the coronavirus setback, Cheryl and Rigsby were able to do enough to qualify for the season finale.

They returned in time for Monday's broadcast as part of "Disney Heroes" night, doing the jive to "Stand Out" from A Goofy Movie.
